"whenever i go to cebu for work, i always come across this hostel and i can't help but be interested with their "99 pesos per day" rate. so when i decided to go on a solo trip, this is one of my main option. my main purpose for the solo trip was to test my survival capabilities using limited resources. so my goals were to have reasonably cheap comfy accommodation, taste the best foods without splurging much and tour around using public transportation. i checked on sugbutel through the net and it seems to match my requirements. i took the lower deck of the dormitory room for 300 bucks exclusive of linen. good thing i brought my own blanket. :) btw, the 99 pesos rate is for 30 days advance booking so i was not able to avail it. i arrived on a sunday and to my surprise, a lot of people who are in business trips booked in this hostel. i was expecting for vacation stays rather than business purposes. and guess what?! most of them stayed in dormitories rather than private rooms! the following days, families with kids also checked in - for people who wants privacy and silence, better for you to get a private room instead of a dormitory. there's only 2 cr: common cr for men and one for women. both are very well maintained. ventilation is really good specially at night. hostel crews are accommodating and friendly. but most of all, i loved the strong wi-fi connections! :) in terms of security, they have cctv cameras to monitor people movements. rooms are also locked if no one is inside. the hostel also offers locker rentals at the lobby for 25 pesos per day. or if you have bulky baggage, you can leave it at their baggage counter beside the lockers. i think this one is free. i didn't expect that this type of accommodation can be this good. really good for budget trips. "

"This is the cheapest place in Cebu City. Aircon 2 bottles wather towells changed every day breakfast billiard ping pong hot wather shampoo tissues 2 kinds 100 pesos only the pool plads free towel use in pool. All for 18 euros. Very kind staff. Security Boks also in the room. You can t find better."

"This place is just awesome, I keep coming back here. It is the perfect launch pad to explore Cebu from. The coworking space is the ultimate blend of hostel and home, you can concentrate on planning your travels or take some quite time to read, watch netflix, etc. and yet socialize with other travelers at the same time! The attached restaurant and bar serves very affordable food and drinks, I highly recommend their pasta and cocktails! It was great to find vegetarian options on the menu as well. The staff are friendly and helpful with their recommendations, they organized an Island hopping Tour for us which was just an incredible experience, I have never seen so many fish whilst snorkeling! If you are staying in Cebu City I highly recommend you come here, if you are just on a short layover I would recommend you check out their Mactan Island Hostel! "

"I have checked out all of the properties suitable for solo travelers in Moalboal, and this one is the BEST. The rooms are sparkling clean and cool (you can control the A/C with a handy remote). The grounds are well-maintained, and they include a nice rooftop, new kitchen facilities, etc... Also, the bathrooms and showers were all in private rooms and immaculately clean. They provide you with fresh comforter, towel, ear plugs (which weren't necessary, as it was nice and quiet), shampoo, shower gel, etc. etc.... They have lots of private/semi-private tour options for the same price as the group tours other places give you. The owners and staff were THE NICEST, as well, and go out of their way to help. The free shuttle was also like having a free private driver take you into town or to the beach. They run frequently. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!"

"I loved my stay here! It's cozy and very homey! It's clean as well. It was a great place to relax especially that I was to take an exam nearby. It's great that is it very close to the place that I need to be. It's very affordable especially when booking here in Agoda even with just a few days before my stay. The staff are pleasant and hospitable. There are also a lot of Instagramable spots in the hotel. And I think you can get a dip in the pool too which I failed to do. Haha. And the aircon, very cold---great! Haha I think the place is just new (?), judging by the makeshift door labels so some things are still missing. Nonetheless, it doesn't get my review down. In case they didn't notice, here are things that i think should be added: clothes/towel hanger in the room, hook/s to hang clothes/towel and something to place soap/shampoo in the shower and I forgot if it is included in my booking but I wasn't given toiletries. Haha. And perhaps a clearer hotel sign facing the road? Hehe Because the GrabFood driver that I met outside and I were having difficulty looking for the place. He ended turning the the way. Hehe. These things are minor but could do extra well. :-) Bottomline, I love the place. I recommend this to those who'll need to be in nearby places like UC Banilad, Gaisano Country Mall, Canadian Consulate, USC, etc. :-)"

"I didn’t even know how to install the sim card bought in cebu into the iphone and the staff there helped me perfectly and also set it up the best service 3g! During the time there, the staff also gave me best suggestions of movements, price in everywhere i was, from long distance! ♥️♥️♥️ in my opinion, you should consider this place as the middle place for other trips in cebu! So you less carry big luggage 🧳 while traveling in between the places, especially stepping up and down at the ferry ⛴! I only slept 3 nights for 7-day staying at the place🥰🥰🥰 but at least i had place for my things. The place is clean, close enough for airport (traffic can happen in cebu), for ferry ⛴ distance due to my itinerary! STRONGLY RECOMMENDING 😤😤😤"

"Too expensive for what you get. Has WiFi but so weak I couldn’t even load a simple webpage and also in a cell phone dead spot so I had to leave and walk down the street to use my phone. Nice rooms and beds but no hot shower. I felt like $30+ USD for just a bed and 4 walls was too expensive. We switched to a place 1km up the road with an ocean view, strong WiFi, and hot showers for half the price. "
