First of all, because it was built last year, all the facilities were very clean and nice! Especially, the staff were extremely friendly :) When I checked in, the staff was so kind that the first impression of the resort was very good. And the view of the swimming pool from the lobby is art~ It's an infinity pool, so the pictures come out well and the pool is also clean. And I was worried because I'm sensitive to noise, but it was really quiet when I slept~~ So I slept very well. It's very quiet. Even though it was vacation season and there were a lot of people, there was no noise between walls and floors. And the breakfast was diverse and delicious. However, it can be a little salty. And the shower filter is a must for the entire resort. Change the filter every day and use it. It's good for your mental health ;) You can see the magic of the white filter turning orange after one use. Overall, I was so satisfied that I don't usually write reviews, but I'm writing one with sincerity.

I stayed for 4 nights and felt more than just kindness during my stay. The staff were extremely friendly and the room was really clean. The breakfast was delicious and the bakery was top-notch. The swimming pool was also clean and enjoyable. The only downside was that the beach was under construction during our stay, so we had to use a beach a little further away, but the shuttle service provided was not a big problem. The only thing that was disappointing was that the lounge, which had a great atmosphere for dinner, was only open from Thursday to Sunday. I will never forget my stay at The Leaf Island Resort!

From the moment we arrived until the very last moment of our departure, we had the best time. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the variety and quality of the menu at the night restaurant and morning buffet were excellent. The view from the infinity pool was breathtakingly beautiful and I strongly recommend taking a dip. There was a towel station and we could borrow bath towels, so we felt at ease even after checking out. By the way, we could also bring the towels to the private beach. All the staff were friendly and kind, and they treated us very well. They were full of hospitality, and we could see how well they got along with each other, which made our stay even more enjoyable. When we inquired by email before our stay, they responded promptly and we were able to stay with peace of mind.

In the midst of all the popularly-named hotel-reosrts in Mactan, this resort-hotel sits there silently with soooo much to offer! upon entrance, staff are really genuinely friendly (NOT the annoying kind, not the trained and scripted friendly kind, IYKYK). They were helpful to the right level, not to the point where it's too much and invasive. Then you see your room -- and it was perfect! We had everything we need -- clean towels, really working strong wifi, smart tv with netflix, youtube, etc., strong water pressure, good smell, comfy beds. The room is five star! They made it worth every penny. the room felt like it was your room at home, only better. We were given a room with the sea view -- it was majestic! then the kitchen, named THE KITCHEN. i always say, a 5-star Filipino breakfast buffet should always have arroz caldo or champorado -- and they have it!!! it sealed the deal. but what i loved most about their food is that they feature local Cebu food -- danggit, sinamak, lechon, etc! and bacon was really good! we also had the chance to eat dinner in The Kitchen, I found it fascinating that their waiters (mostly men) are really attentive and friendly but NOT annoying. they wait for you to call them, and not just interrupting conversations. so good! They also have other dining places within the resort, a bakery (which is actually a coffee shop), a bar, and two more restaurants. i also went before to other 5-star resorts nearby and I must say -- The Reef's pool, beach front, heated pool, the terrain is the best here in Mactan. it's NOT too much to handle, but it felt like the design of the hotel was well-thought of. also, anywhere you go, there is a view!! their pool has a ledge where the kids can sit and join their parents/elders in the bigger pool! imagine that? How thoughtful -- and it really works! lastly, i just felt safe in The Reef -- this is the most important part. Already, I recommended this to some of my friends and a friend already made plans to see The Reef! haha. i hope they will maintain this status, but the price is already right.
