Great counter service, procedures were quickly completed. The room was also very clean. When I got hungry at night, I ordered the hotel's dinner and it arrived at my door in 25 minutes. The food was still warm. It felt like a five-star experience. It only took about 15 minutes to walk to Lot 10 Pavilion, and only five minutes to Alor Street. The hotel also provides parking services. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it. I give it five stars 👍

Booked the advertised 5* Hotel with the trusted name of Singaporean owned SGI marquee brand Swiss Garden Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. What a disappointment. Was welcomed at the front desk by the charming & helpful Mr Amirul. Mr. Amirul assigned me the reserved room efficiently with quality guest service & entertaining conversation. First rate gentleman. Took the lift to the 9th floor which was roasting hot & stuffy, clearly no AC in operation & entered the 9th floor corridor, also no AC working, into the room to discover it too was hot with AC off. AC only operates upon a key card being inserted. Clearly very much a budget approach to climate control throughout the hotel. Went to wash my hands to discover no soap or gel at the sink & one had to step into the walk-in shower & squeeze some shower gel from that dispenser to clean one’s hands. Went to dry my hands & couldn’t miss the shabby & frayed mid-sized bath towels due to no hand towels & no hand flannels. To top matters off grey speckled mould along the bathroom cupboard sink doors which were also swamped with stagnant water. Called housekeeping who informed me they were sorry but the hotel was mid-contract negotiations with their amenity supplier & for the time being no soap, gel or bathroom amenities were available other than the two large soap dispensers inside the shower cubicle. I then noticed no coffee sachets & though there were two teabags there was no creamer & no pen on the bedside pad for making notes. I wouldn’t mind if I’d booked & paid for a 3* or 3.5* or even a non-marquee branded 4* but Swiss Garden Hotel? Sorry, unacceptable at the high prices charged for a Kuala Lumpur Malaysian hotel. Mr. Amirul did his best to assist by finding a new room on the 13th floor & apologised for the current state of play. A slightly better room but no measure of Mr. Amirul great guest service skills can make up for a tardy, badly presented, rather run down establishment purporting to be a 5* international hotel. It’s not even 4*. I decided to go down to the gym to work off my frustration only to discover the exceedingly small fitness suite was actually closed & locked between 2000hrs & 0700am. Clearly not a full service 4* / 5* hotel as advertised neither up to 4* standards if lowering themselves to a tourist class run of the mill hotel. Pretty basic to afford guests 24/7 access to a gym, especially such a tiny poor excuse for a fitness suite. Hardly requires staffing, almost impossible to injure oneself in such a small poorly equipped sweat box. One lat-pull down (high to low fixed cable) & one seated chest press cable by Technogym. Adequate in their own right but sorry those two pieces fail to qualify as the advertised gym! A few odd weighted dumbbells & some cardio equipment by Technogym. If money is tight then all the low budget Swiss Garden Hotel need do is purchase one dual adjustable pulley (DAP) with requisite attachments & that would at least afford a half decent total body resistance workout. Pointless having two randomly selected pieces of Technogym strength. Needless to say no AC on in the sweat box gym. Breakfast is very average with minimal fruit choice, no porridge (oats), no poached eggs available. The only good thing about that hotel was Mr Amirul & his colleague’s great guest care & their best efforts to assist & make up for a shoddy 3* hotel. Sorry but this Swiss Garden Hotel is at best a 3* Hotel, at the very best 3.5*. Won’t be staying there again & if I could have cancelled & moved hotels mid-stay I would have.

The room provided was spacious, comfortable, and had a good view of the city scene. Plenty of cafes, eateries, restaurants, shopping malls were all within walking distance or just around 10 to 15 minutes away by car/cab. Will come back again on our next visit to Kuala Lumpur!

Initially, we were given a room, which ultimately had a leaking toilet and the bathroom smelled like sewage, which you can imagine was very unpleasant. We told the reception the next morning and they immediately offered to change (and upgrade) the room, which was then without impairments. The hotel itself seems modern, however it could use some upgrades. The pool is small and has no view (as opposed to other hotels in the nearby). No spa at the hotel. Breakfast is big and has a lot of choices (indian, chinese, malay, international), we were very pleased with it. Starts at 6.30 which was great for our early leave on the next day. Room service also available. Location of hotel is great! Jalan Alor and Bukit Bintang around the corner, reachable on foot. Around the town we used Grab. Room cleaned daily, fresh towels, linen and 2 bottles of water provided. Overall, it was good value for money given the possibilities available.

It was the first time we stayed n this hotel. We reached about 6:15am and asked the staff at the check in desk if possible to have the room early or we check in early? The replied was there is no room available due to full occupancies. But if there is room available, the price for check in early before 3:00pm, guest must pay RM500.00. ( when I have booked for 2 nights for only RM 580.00) What is the rational for asking such exorbitant amount for few hours of early check in? The counter desk staff staff has no empathy for travellers whom were already tired after long travel hours and just wanted to have early relax and comfort. I believe Bukit Bintang have many better services hotel nearby.
