“Norwegian Wheelchair user on holiday”
As a first-time traveler as a wheelchair user, I took this hotel which I had previously explored via pictures and YouTube as to whether this hotel could be an ok hotel for someone who uses a wheelchair. The hotel excels perfectly for this, but there are some challenges. I have a relatively small electric wheelchair that I brought with me on this trip and the hotel itself is equipped with a lift and ramps to get in and out of the hotel. the hesen goes all the way up to the pool which is a plus. note that larger wheelchairs and electric wheelchairs will have problems in the lift and possibly the rooms. The rooms in the hotel are perfectly fine and suitable for normal-sized wheelchairs. my electric one is of the small type that can get everywhere, except in the bathroom... the door is too narrow and is stuck up against the exit door. this meant that I had to use crutches or hobble into the shower or toilet. there is no shower chair either, so this is good to bring from home (foldable/easily disassembled shower chair) otherwise, the room I had is: large double bed, large fridge. balcony facing the street, small TV (which I think is a minus ) and few channels that are useful for someone who can only speak English whenever abroad. Wifi Internet in the hotel is good. strong signals and relatively good upload and download speed (50/20mb). large mirror in the room and bathroom, writing desk with bench, 2 bedside tables and a chaise longue chair and a table/TV bench on which you can put a suitcase or other things. good curtains that reflect sun and heat. the rooms are cleaned every day, and the bed is changed every other day it seems. And by contacting the room cleaner, it can be postponed if you want some private room time. Unfortunately, there is no "do not disturb" sign that can be hung on the door handle if you are the type who does not want to have contact with personnel. Unfortunately, I had a room with noisy air conditioning. on the balcony it made so much noise that I had to turn it off if I was going to sit outside. this was something I told the reception and the caretaker. but was only met with raised shoulders. instead of finding someone to fix this. not the end of the world but annoying. The pool on the 9th floor is a great place to cool off, the pool itself shows signs of wear and the tiles have started to loosen, especially in the jacuzzi. there is also a decent little bar here which has a small menu from which you can choose both food and drink. there are chairs and tables here and sunbeds but no parasols. so it can get hot and then there is little shade to be found if you need a break from the sun. Personnel. Here I have nothing to complain about, fantastic service and help, and not least friendly... if you take the time to smile and appreciate the staff, they show their smile and friendly chat as best they can. And that makes for a better stay in my mind. after all, these are people who do a job to make us feel good while we spend time there. This applies to everyone from reception, doormen/security, cleaners and bar/restaurant staff. Recommend you take the time to appreciate the staff. :) Hotel location in Pattaya: The hotel is located in the middle between nor and south. the beach street/promenade is barely 100m away, Central festival shopping center is approx. 300m away, Pattaya night market approx. 300m, Ripley's Belivit or not 600m, Pattaya Walking street 1km, Central Marina shopping center 2km, Terminal 21 shopping center 2.5km. All in all, in the middle of Pattaya near the beach and in a relatively quiet street without too much noise and traffic. The hotel is strongly recommended <3 V.J
