It's our 1st time to stay here in Savoy Mactan and it is recommended to my truly friend. So I booked right away to Celebrate our anniversary with my husband. We love the staff here coz they are very helpful and accommodating especially Ms.Christabel of front office manager who helped us to set up the heart shaped towel art and cheesecake to our room to surprise my husband and Yes he was surprised and overwhelmed! We arrived earlier from our check in time. I thought our room is not yet ready but Trisha allow us to check in early coz our room is ready, she is very polite,smiling and friendly. Beautiful room, spacious, well cleaned, comfy bed. On the next day we went to savoy Cafe for breakfast but it's a long queue so we decided for room service. They are very flexible to their guest needs. And gave raise to Charles from the restaurant who deliver our food to our room he has a positive attitude, very hospitable, courteous and helpful. We went to the beach and swimming pool very cozy and nice ambience. We really enjoy our overall stay. Great food, Great Facilities and Great service. Cebu is blessed with beautiful geography and you have the wonderful experience of mountains, the city and beaches!!! Not to mention the heartlands where all the one of a kind experiences awaits you. We booked Superior deluxe rooms with twin beds and breakfast for 3 nights. The prices costs for a very affordable 80 sgd++ per night with breakfast. Located in Mactan so its very near the airport at just 30 mins and our Grab costs only less than 300 pesos. It is about an hour from the city and additional 1 hr if you will go to other places in Cebu but we are prepared for it because my Father likes to be by the beach. The hotel is much affordable than other 5 star hotels in Mactan and it it what we are looking for. It is not directly beachfront but close to you can walk safely for 10 mins or take their free shuttle every 2 hrs. The place is located in Mactan Newton which is an upscale town located by the beach with many hotels, condos, offices, shops and places to eat. I loved the entrance of this town especially the fountain with Dolphins at its rotunda. We arrived in Cebu before noon and after a quick lunch at the airport we took a grab to the hotel and arrived just before 1 in the afternoon. The staff were kind enough to check us in early and this is a bonus point right away. They helped us carry our luggages and our rooms are adjacent to each other at 12F with a picturesque view of Cebu strait over the horizon which is also the private beach of the hotel. First impressions the Lobby - very huge, artsy and modern I loved the aromathic smell of the place that will greet you, a lot of sofas and lounges chairs, a cafe, paintings and murals and their in house Savoy cafe and Zabana bar which is just across the lounge before the lift area. The check-in - [ ] counter have a cute Crayfish aquarium which are very adorable and charming and enticing. We were assisted by the hotel staff the moment we took off our Grab and they brought our bags into our rooms. The lift area is at the back of the lobby adjacent to the cafe. Our rooms are on the 12F and the lift were fast and not heavily congested. The only thing we noticed the hallway is a bit warm. The rooms were quite spacious and clean the moment we came in. The pathway by the door is so big you can put a lot of luggages. Floor is wooden style tiles and the bathroom is right on your left side. Despite the big room the Grey and Black toilet is a bit small still manageable. They provide bidet which is a plus for me and toiletries with refillable aromathic shower gel/shampoo. Only thing the tiles they used for the sink doesn’t absorb water easily so for just a simple hand rinse it cauld get wet easily so you have to always dry it. The shower head for both rooms have some minor issues but the hotel utilities fixed them right away. Water pressure is strong and heating is easy to manage. They provide clean body towels only but no floor one. Next to the toilet is the wardrobe and mini-bar. The former has hangers, safety lock, compartments and blow dryer. The latter has complimentary tea/coffee/bottled water which are replenished daily during housekeeping. They have cups, glasses and mugs provided and kettle. There is a mini-fridge located here as well. Next to the wardrobe are the 2 single beds which are quite big for single beds, clean, comfy and soft. The pillows and blankets are clean, soft and thick enough to warm you in the cold aircon air. In between beds there is a mini-carpet which I loved the idea when you you go out of your bed can walk comfortably barefoot. There is a bed table in between with the hotel phone and remote for TV. During my recent stay at Savoy Mactan Newtown Hotel, I found aspects of the experience to be rather underwhelming. While the hotel itself appeared clean and well-maintained, there were certain aspects that left me feeling dissatisfied. One of the main issues was with the room I was provided, especially considering I had requested a room with a nice view for a special occasion. While the room was indeed situated on a higher floor, the view was obstructed by the neighboring Belmont hotel, making it difficult to open the curtains and enjoy the scenery. Perhaps my biggest concern was with the beach offered to hotel guests. While it's true that only hotel guests have access to the beach, I found it to be disappointingly small and lacking in sufficient seating. This often necessitated either paying for day passes at nearby resorts or rushing to the beach early to secure a spot before the first shuttle bus arrived. Furthermore, I was disappointed by the limited lactose-free food options available at the beach bar, particularly considering that the availability (if any) was just there till noon-ish . Additionally, the response from security guards when attempting to bring in outside lactose-free food was humiliating and unacceptable. Overall, while the Savoy Mactan Newtown Hotel may have certain redeeming qualities, my overall experience left much to be desired.

My son and I booked Savoy Hotel on the 22 of June -24 of June unfortunately there was a problem of our flight from Sydney because our plane was delayed for 2 hours. As a result, we are not able to board our plane from Manila-Cebu because I book 2 separate Airlines. While waiting sorting our flight , Christa the Hotel Manager is very kind , understanding and considerate moved our booking to the 23 of June until 25th of June with no dramas and extra fees. It was a weight off in our shoulder .She made it easy for my son and myself. The staffs are friendly, helpful and professional. When we arrived the hotel security guards are very helpful greeted us with a smiles on their faces. Marty in the Concierge and the front desk are very welcoming and helpful took our luggage and took us in the lift until in our room and showing us the way and asked us if there is anything we needed help for unlike other Hotels you are on your own trying to find your way in the tunnel of so many rooms : ) We went in gym in the morning, Jessamaeh with the other male young lad greeted us with all smiles and very welcoming.The gym is nice and clean and plenty of selection of exercise apparatuses. After the gym , my son went for a swim in the pool and the staffs there were very helpful and the lifeguard chat to my son Reggie and company were very kind and make it enjoyable for my son's experience .The Bar near the pool were very friendly Angelo and I forgot the other young lad were polite and kind.We order monngo and it was nice.with rice and I love that they had choices of fresh fuit juices and fresh fruit shakes in the bar. The room was spacious ,clean ,with comfortable bed and a great view of the garden.It has most of necessary amenities. The wifi is fast and reliable . The gym and the pool is awesome. The hotel location is convenient to transport and restaurants. The hotel even has its own beach and provided towels and seats and even has a bar .The beach is only short walk distance. My son loved their little fishtank with colourful little fishes in the front desk .Everytime we go down he always checked the fishes. The professionalism attitude of the management reflects from all the staffs I met in the hotel.Staffs are happy ,helpful and professional.The top notch customer service stood out on this hotel. We had a pleasant experience and stay especially my son .We felt like Home away from Home. I would highly recommend this Hotel for location, convenience, facilities,great value for money and most of all the top notch customer service ! My son enjoyed it so much that we have to extend another day. Thank you Savoy Hotel!
