Good place to stay for staycations or for unwinding”
I booked a DOUBLE SUPERIOR QUEEN (was victimized with this mismarketing!) for 2 nights worth 10k+. It said that this room is good for 3 pax ( for my parents and I) ROOMS: When I checked in, the room given to us was a small room with 2 SINGLE BEDS rm5019 (and they will just put an extra folding bed in the middle of the two beds). The room was just like a Twin Bed. You can’t even move inside the room if you are 3 pax. I asked the front desk if they gave us the correct room because it looks like a Twin Bed Room. And they confirmed that it’s the room I booked. So tell me Agoda and Savoy, what does DOUBLE SUPERIOR QUEEN room mean?? This is a type of mis marketing. Of course I would not want my parents to stay in an uncomfortable room as the goal of this vacation is to relax and not stress out. I upgraded to the JR Suite room and added 6K fee. The Jr suite room is their most expensive available that time as per front desk, the room is spacious with own sala and large bathroom (bidet was not working well —- very hard to press and very strong water pressure). There are 2 or 3 little cockroaches playing by the minibar where the water, glasses and cups were located. 😅 Thus, the rest is good and “clean”. BREAKFAST BUFFET The experience on Day 1 was ok. Staff are very accommodating especially to my senior parents. Buffet area is generous. Menu is ok. Day 2 That guy on the entrance where we register for breakfast claim, asked us if we were booked in the hotel. I gave my room number and name repeated it thrice. Then asked me, “did you just check in today?” I answered “no, it’s our 2nd day”. After a while he told me, “Ma’am we have dress code here, no pyjamas” I was wearing a coords top and bottom (very far from pyjamas). I told him “do you thinks this is a pyjama?” But then they allow foreign tourists with same coords enter the buffet area? They even allow those wearing black CYCLING shorts inside. But why not allow my coords? Where’s the justice here? I believe I am presentable enough to enter the area. And all my dress since day 1 are coords. I don’t know what’s the problem with that one staff of Savoy. That incident dragged your rating down. STAFF The staff are accommodating, courteous and welcoming except for the one I mentioned earlier. LOCATION The location is walking distance to the beach. The hotel offers free shuttle rides going to the beach. As for us, we opted to walk for exercise. There are on going developments which we can look forward to and gives a reason to go back and see. The hotel has a designated private space in the beach area. Best time to go to the beach is early morning or late afternoon so you can really enjoy the ambiance and relax.

Savoy Mactan made our first impressions with Cebu truly enduring and unforgettable. As a first time visitors we have in mind to book a beachfront hotel near the city and Mactan fits the bill. Cebu is blessed with beautiful geography and you have the wonderful experience of mountains, the city and beaches!!! Not to mention the heartlands where all the one of a kind experiences awaits you. We booked Superior deluxe rooms with twin beds and breakfast for 3 nights. The prices costs for a very affordable 80 sgd++ per night with breakfast. Located in Mactan so its very near the airport at just 30 mins and our Grab costs only less than 300 pesos. It is about an hour from the city and additional 1 hr if you will go to other places in Cebu but we are prepared for it because my Father likes to be by the beach. The hotel is much affordable than other 5 star hotels in Mactan and it it what we are looking for. It is not directly beachfront but close to you can walk safely for 10 mins or take their free shuttle every 2 hrs. The place is located in Mactan Newton which is an upscale town located by the beach with many hotels, condos, offices, shops and places to eat. I loved the entrance of this town especially the fountain with Dolphins at its rotunda. We arrived in Cebu before noon and after a quick lunch at the airport we took a grab to the hotel and arrived just before 1 in the afternoon. The staff were kind enough to check us in early and this is a bonus point right away. They helped us carry our luggages and our rooms are adjacent to each other at 12F with a picturesque view of Cebu strait over the horizon which is also the private beach of the hotel. First impressions the Lobby - very huge, artsy and modern I loved the aromathic smell of the place that will greet you, a lot of sofas and lounges chairs, a cafe, paintings and murals and their in house Savoy cafe and Zabana bar which is just across the lounge before the lift area. The check-in - [ ] counter have a cute Crayfish aquarium which are very adorable and charming and enticing. We were assisted by the hotel staff the moment we took off our Grab and they brought our bags into our rooms. The lift area is at the back of the lobby adjacent to the cafe. Our rooms are on the 12F and the lift were fast and not heavily congested. The only thing we noticed the hallway is a bit warm. The rooms were quite spacious and clean the moment we came in. The pathway by the door is so big you can put a lot of luggages. Floor is wooden style tiles and the bathroom is right on your left side. Despite the big room the Grey and Black toilet is a bit small still manageable. They provide bidet which is a plus for me and toiletries with refillable aromathic shower gel/shampoo. Only thing the tiles they used for the sink doesn’t absorb water easily so for just a simple hand rinse it cauld get wet easily so you have to always dry it. The shower head for both rooms have some minor issues but the hotel utilities fixed them right away. Water pressure is strong and heating is easy to manage. They provide clean body towels only but no floor one. Next to the toilet is the wardrobe and mini-bar. The former has hangers, safety lock, compartments and blow dryer. The latter has complimentary tea/coffee/bottled water which are replenished daily during housekeeping. They have cups, glasses and mugs provided and kettle. There is a mini-fridge located here as well. Next to the wardrobe are the 2 single beds which are quite big for single beds, clean, comfy and soft. The pillows and blankets are clean, soft and thick enough to warm you in the cold aircon air. In between beds there is a mini-carpet which I loved the idea when you you go out of your bed can walk comfortably barefoot. There is a bed table in between with the hotel phone and remote for TV. Aircon is on the wall dividing the toilet and bed and could be controlled by its wall mount switch. Lighting is controlled by the door and by the bed table and I always l

Relaxing stay with great food and service”
The accommodation was excellent, including the staff and the cleanliness of the room and bathroom. The beach was very relaxing, and the pool was great as well. When you step out of the hotel, there are many establishments nearby within walking distance, such as coffee shops, Watsons, restaurants, and more. My only concern was the air conditioning, it was extremely cold, even on the lowest setting. However, overall, it was a very nice stay. Even their breakfast was great, the food was delicious with lots of choices. The only downside is that if there are many guests, you’ll need to line up, as they give you a priority number and you have to wait for others to finish eating before you can get a table. Also, you must try their ensaymada it’s absolutely delicious!

Wonderful location, clean neat room, wonderful staff and access to beach with facilities. The rooms are small, with quality furnishings, rooms service every day. The only downside is the choice of food available in their restaurant. No regard for vegetarians. The breakfast is a good spread. The pool in the hotel is good, but more suitable for the kids. Families could use the beach facilities. The gym is small with limited equipment. The massage parlor is a disaster. A very good choice of stay in a uptown location where everything is hype and good vibe. I really appreciate the front desk staff for their patience in handling crowds in the peak holiday season.
