Oslob hotels & places to stay

If you plan on going whale watching in Oslob and need a home base, this is an excellent choice. In fact, if you don't mind staying in one spot just to relax for several days, this fits the bill. There is no 'town' in the area, so you'd have to be satisfied with sticking around the resort and not going out to restaurants,etc. The food here was excellent, there are three pools, plenty of loungechairs, and a beach that is great for snorkeling. In fact, we saw whale sharks swim right by the shore of our hotel both days we stayed. The hotel also has a boat shuttle that takes you to the whale shark viewing area in the morning.

The hotel is near Oslob Whale Shark Watching which is one of the reason why we went to Oslob. The staffs are very accomodating. I really appreciate that they serve us breakfast as early as 5:30 AM since we need to leave by 6AM for whale shark watching. They even suggested a tricycle ride going to Sumilon Island. (You can ask for Kuya Jong). The rooms are okay. But I do hope, they can add more lights to the room as the one they have is bit dark. If you are looking for a best place to stay in Oslob, please do not hesitate to book this place.

We only had one night in oslob, and were more than happy with our choice to stay at GT Seaside In. The hotel is perfect, on the ocean front, walking distance to town, close to all activities oslob has to offer. Our stay was made even better by the service provided by the hotel manager Arthur a very genuine guy. He helped with all our needs especially the whale sharks providing transport and a go pro camera all at a correct and genuine price. I highly recommend this hotel. After many many years travelling in the Philippines I have rarely felt more at home and comfortable, because of the hospitality and service provided by Arthur and the staff.

We really wanted to visit Oslob for the whale sharks, we decided to book one night in order to be in a good shape in the morning. We took the bus from South station in Cebu and told the driver to let us know when we arrived to Oslob and Julie's bake shop. From here it was a 2 minute walk to the pension house. This is probably one of the best places we have stayd at during our 3 week long vacation in the Phil. The staff is VERY helpful with everything. The rooms are big, nice beds (big beds, that is not something you can find everywhere in the Phil.) The Shower was great!!! The Staff, we were so surprised over how helpful the staff was, the lady (owner) she helped us with everything. Transportation to the whale shark, to the waterfall +++. We were planning to visit Bohol as our next destination, originally we were planning to either take the bus back to Cebu and then take the ferry. The owner made some calls, and we could take a boat from Oslob do Panglao (bohol) which saved us for more than 6 hours travel time!!! We would definitely stay here again, it is really worth it. You will be at the whale shark point early without any other tourists!!! Thank you very much for a PERFECT stay

We went to Oslob for the world famous, one of the most intriguing sights/attractions in the world -- Whaleshark watching! So we needed a place to stay overnight and found this eye pleasing pictures in the website, fortunately it is what it is. A classy, pleasing and relaxing place to stay. Of course this doesn't come cheap, but rest assured you'll have the best hotel in Oslob.

The best night ever in my Philippines tour for last 2 weeks. If you love natures, this definitely is your-must-stay in Oslob area. Although No More treehouses or rooms available, but I have to say that no regret at all to decide booking and staying the only TENT available here for my night. Make sure u book the queen bed for the tent. Don't worry, you won't feel any hot but cold night with nature wind and a little cute fans and lamp. Roasters will wake u up with their kor-kor-korrr. And LAST ONE, they provide the very best service on WhaleShark Snorkeling with very early first batch boat you can go, and of course, many other tours like Oslob-Bohol Tour, Badian Kawasan Canyoneering and even Massage service too! Too good here! Love the lady-boss here too, best of the best here in Oslob.

The view is amazing, you go to sleep and wakes up to the sound of the waves from the ocean. For us this was our first time in Philippines and didnt know what to expect really. Oslob is a not a heavy tourist attraction as Bangkok, Phuket etc. Which is good but however the connection on the island is not as well. So we had a problem to withdraw money from 7 different ATMs around Oslob. However the staff was superb! They was so nice and helpful in everyway with this and other thing around too. The locals are very friendly and the environment amazing! Really recommend a trip here and also to stay in The Lighthouse resort.

if you are looking for a cheap place that is near to the Oslob Whale Shark, this is the place to be. Very basic room, Bed, towels, aircon, private bathroom and the restaurant has a great view of the ocean and the resort has its own swimming pool. The resort staff assists their guests when they do the activity with the whale shark they fall in line for you, it is 3-5 minutes away to the area. Over all happy with this place, it served its purpose.

I cannot stress enough how amazed and satisfied I was with this stay. Sometimes I feel like its a gamble when choosing a hotel in a a remote area but I hit the lottery with this one! I solely picked this hotel based on the photos and reviews. When we first arrived by bus in the market we took a motor cab for P50 to the house. Only reason why it cost so much cuz we took up the entire motor cab cuz of our luggage but a ride to and from the market is only P7. As soon as my gf and I arrived at the location it was an amazing house literally right on the water! The constant flow of fresh air throughout the entire house was so refreshing. Instantly the staff was super friendly and attentive. They made sure that we knew of all of our options and how to get to the town center/market. Our first night there they took us around the town to show us some of the historic buildings and we were able to catch the sunset. Keep in mind this is on the east side of the island. Most people usually go to Oslob to visit whale sharks but we didn't even know about them until we got there. Our plan was to just do completely nothing but relax and enjoy the soothing sun and soak in the fresh air. The house is pretty much brand new and is built to american standards. The bedrooms are super clean and the pillows and blankets are comfortable like a marshmallow. The showers are super fast and has a real good flow of hot water. I was lucky enough to be there while Brian, the owner of the property, was there. Amazing guy to have conversations with and very grateful that he has opened up his house so that others may experience the beautiful and relaxing experience. Waking up and going to sleep to the sound of the oceans with such an intimate view is what we city folk always dream of, and now it has come true. Without a doubt this is the nicest and cleanest place I have ever stayed while in the Philippines. If you are spending hours searching for a place in Oslob just stop here and book your room now!

The best ever, since I visit my family in Oslob every year and this one is on the top of the lists. A very family oriented resort, my extended family in Oslob are even welcome to visit without any questions. They keep their swimming pool tidy and clean all the time, very secured place and they offer any tour around the area with a little extra charge (like swimming with the whales and more) Highly recommended, especially when you have children. It is the best so far of all the places I have stayed around the area. The price is one of the best too, clean linens and towels and toiletries are provided. I enjoyed every minute of my stay my wife and children loves the Karaoke, My grandchildren loves the swimming pool.

We stayed at the Lunas Oslob Travellers Inn for a night. It is few kilometers away from the Oslob whale shark watching area but near the Oslob town historic areas (Cuartel and Oslob museum). We booked a standard room located at the rooftop. The room is clean and well-ventilated. You can stay at their rooftop to chill at night. We also have a good breakfast prepared by their friendly staff. They are open 24hours and you are allowed to bring food. It is good place to stay for budget traveller without compromising your comfort and safety. 👍👍

The place was awesome! At first I thought it was near the beach, but when we arrived there it was not as I was expecting but the place's design was really nice. This place is quite near the Oslob Watching area, a few minutes ride from this place to tha Oslob Watching area. The good thing is they are also offering a ride going there, together with a ride going to Tumalog falls.

This has to be one of the best spots in the Philippines, tucked in off the main road is this 3 room hotel, we occupied all 3 rooms which was perfect. The staff greeted us off the bus and we sat out on the gazebo which was built onto the beach. Quiet and everything simple you could ever need. The beds were comfy the rooms bright and cozy the staff bent over backwards for us helping us with laundry cooking and hailing trikes. The main part of oslob is about 10 minutes away on a trike but that doesn't matter when you can walk a couple hundred meters out into the ocean to do some mild snorkeling. The owner is a great lady who would sit and chat with us almost every day. The only thing that wasn't perfect was the beach a little more attention to around the property would of been a definite 10/10 there's an abundance of sea life right at your door step but plastics and garbage buried in the sand kind of lose its allure. We could spend weeks here and just relax this is truly a home away from home highly recommend this place you can cook, swim, hike, take tours and enjoy sunsets every night. The staff make it that much better, I look forward to returning.

Susada’s Inn was amazingly comfortable and clean. The owners were so accommodating and helped us with everything we needed. When we arrived late at night, they made sure that we got take out from the restaurant still open and prepared our meal on their patio for us to enjoy. For P100/person they were able to get us very early reservations (our group of 12 persons was 8th in a line of hundreds that day) for the whale shark viewing and we got to enjoy the experience at 6AM as part of the first groups out, they also drove us to and from the diving area which was so convenient. Susada’s Inn is legitimately the best place in Oslob! Our other friends, staying in more expensive places, never got the 5 star treatment we got. We heard that other people got to the area, fell in line and was able to see the whale sharks 4 hours later. Our group got there and were on the boats in 30mins enjoying ourselves. The place is clean, has comfortable beds and hot water. We were happy! 😊

If your going to see the Whale Sharks the place to be. Right next door impossible to get closer.. Room was very small. Staff friendly placse to eat right next door. They will organize Whale Watching permit for 100p each. for the service.. Brgy charged 500p for locals and 1000p for foreigners for entrance to the Whale Sharks. . Small put nice pool. Wifi, swimming in ocean out front. Again Location location location...

Mango lodge is the best place to stay here in Oslob! It is a short tricycle ride form the city centre in a nice little location. As soon as we rocked up we knew the place was amazing, the staff were the best, very friendly and the rooms were the nicest we have stayed in for the first couple of weeks backpacking around Philippines, so nice we decided to extend and stay another longer, The rooms are so clean and nice another couple that checked in the next day wasted no time extending even longer after about a good 10 seconds of seeing the large spacious rooms. The staff are very accommodating when booking any activities you would like to do around the area, even if that's driving you to the see the whale sharks at 5.30 in the morning so your not waiting around from the big crowds, booking you tricycles or cooking you a very tasty breaky or lunch when you are hungry, this place is as good as it gets for backpackers or family's alike. They are building a family room out the side, by there new pool that we got transferd to out of there kindness as we mistakenly rocked up a day early to our second stay here after we returned to oslob from dumaguete and the room will be really nice for family's or groups when it's complete! Overall mango is the best place to stay highly suggest booking early as it's the place to be and is in high demand!

The place is good, just paid for 100 peso they will help to buy the ticket and transport to watch the whaleshark. That day the bus was delay from moalboal to oslob, the staff waiting for me at outside around 8.30pm, I expect arrived time around 5-6pm. The water pressure was small in morning time, but night time is ok, got the hot water as well. Overall is the best place and value for money.

You get more than what you paid ! We got the room on a great deal around PHP 500 booked in advance. We just needed sa place to stay for our early morning tour in Oslob Whaleshark site. We booked a cottage fan room with shared bathroom. It was clean, really cozy with a cute balcony on it where we chilled out during the night. They also had a billiard table where you could play for FREE! They had motorbikes for rent for P500/24 hours. . Harold(or Harry) was very helpful with all the information and services that we needed, and also the other girl who checked us in(i didn't got the name) was really cheerful. Whaleshark site is 10mins away, we just rented the motorbike and drove ourselves to the places around. Would always recommend this to our friends and will definitely be back if given the chance.

Ate Merlyn and her colleagues are more than friendly. They all treated us like we were family. Located at a friendly and helpful neighborhood as well! 3mins away from the market. 7-10mins away from the whale shark head quarters and sumilon port and tumalog falls (via rented motorbike that you can also ask them about) Actually, you can ask ate Merlyn about anything and everything about the area and the tours, as well. They will tell you the exact prices and rates of everything you want to know. Words can't express how much my Fiancé and I were amazed of their hospitality. There will be no other place I would want to stay in Oslob but their place. It's clean, it has a pool, airconditioned rooms, shower area, tv , friendly and helpful people. AFFORDABLE! What more can you ask for?

When you look for a place to relax, Lagunde Beach Resort is a place to be. We book a place thinking it was just for 5 persons but actually can accomodate 10 to 12 persons, a beach front accommodation. Mam Elsa and the staff are very hospitable and accommodating to the needs of their guest, the location is a bit far from the Whale watching but they provide their own vehicle to drop-off and pick-up of their guest. Food prices are reasonable and you can even buy a fresh catch from the sea and they will do the cooking upon request. My wife and my kids love the place including their pet dog Kina (not sure of the spelling), on our next trip to Oslob we will definitely stay on this resort. Thanks to the owner, i have a good time talking to him.

You will want to stay here as the hotel is just right next to the Oslob Whale Watching centre where they brief you first and then you make a payment. The hotel is very new, hence very clean. Its a basic comfortable room. I'd recommend that you stay at this hotel and then early next morning walk over to the centre, attend the briefing and make your own payment. Do not go via the hotel reception as they normally take their time to make the payment and you will need to wait hours before its your turn to go on the banca to swim with the whale sharks.

We stayed in the Beach Hotel which was cosy and comfortable. The hospitality and service really helped to up the ante on our holiday. The lovely Tony was such a great resource and guide for us during our trip to Oslob, making us feel like friends staying in his resort, as opposed to estranged guests from out of town. Our space was characterized and made pleasant by a charming garden with deck views that overlooked the water - a perfect spot to watch the Cebu sunset. It was homely and clean, with the only drawback being it's slight distance from the main town. Commuting from the resort to town at night can be a little tricky if you're not up for riding a motorbike for a lift. A great experience overall and would highly recommend the place to visitors of Oslob.

We arrived late at the place however the receptionist waiting for us to arrive (we arrive at approx 9pm) and they fulfill each of our request (getting kettle, bowls, fork and spoon). Nice place for stay and worth our money. During our stay at Luzmin, Oslob was having a water shortage period however, Luzmin have their own water reserve therefore we still can take bath etc. Therefore overall is worth our money and comfortable.
