It's expensive. But money is worth it. And for me the best pool in the whole area of high class hotels in KLCC. Another thing, customer service. This is my favourite staycation hotel to bring the family because of just that. And they remembered me, my wife. Even the restaurant JP Terrace also welcomes me with a smile and old banter like family. And I am no royalty ya, just a member of the normal public that gets pampered by them once and awhile when my allowances afford me these luxuries.

This was our second stay at the Concorde...first was business at our High Commission and the central location was perfect. The second visit was purely for pleasure and once again we chose the Concorde for its central location. This hotel though has so much more to offer than just its location...it has a superb breakfast buffet with a great selection of local and western cuisines, nice neat and tidy rooms with great amenities(great shower pressure) and friendly staff with prompt service(room service was super fast). It is conveniently located within walking distance of the Petronas towers for shopping and many great bars and eateries and only a quick drive to many of the attractions KL has to offer(bird park, batu caves, palace, museum etc).

We have fond memories of the hotel when it was still Ming Court and we have stayed at Corus Hotel London a couple of times. When we stayed here recently we found the hotel lives up to its name in providing the services normally found in 5 star hotels though with less frills. So it is really great value for money. It is therefore not surprising that this attracted crowds you normally come accross when you stay at cheaper hotels. I do not have problem with this but may be a problem to those with attitudes who would quickly move to the nearest five or six star hotels nearby. I like the business philosopy of Corus in going into the middle range of the market. There are already too many luxurious hotels with all the frills catering for the "high" class travels but few that provide the comfort offered by the classy hotels but at a much less price. The majority of travellers with families do belong to the middle range of the market who would not be comfortable to stay at three star or budget hotels. So keep up and keep your niche. It would be good business and a big favour for the majority of global travellers.

it's always nice to start a holiday with a complimentary upgrade, especially when you have already booked a pretty swish room. we had initially booked an horizon club executive room at the shangri la in kl and were upgraded to an horizon club executive suite located on the 15th floor. pity we only had 1 night here. check in - we could have picked a worse time of day to check in, 1:30 peak hour, as soon as the check in staff identified that we had booked horizon club we were taken immediately to the club and checked in without delay. the room - it's a massive suite with a well equipped study and a toilet and basin close by, a lounge room, a bedroom and a huge bathroom and shower area bigger than some hotel rooms i've stayed in. most asian hotels offer free wifi and the shangri-la was no different. the connection speed was good. the study was spacious and had a desk and lamp and there was also a nespresso coffee machine. the lounge had a 2 seater sofa, 2 chairs, coffee table and a huge flat screen tv and windows that wrapped around providing views of the city and hills beyond. the bed was very comfortable not to hard and easy to sleep on and there was a large tv also found in the bedroom. i did enjoy the electronic day and night curtains that opened and closed at the press of a button. the bathroom as mentioned earlier was massive and was equipped with l'occataine products. my wife found the complimentary hairband most useful. the shower was very large and you had the option of a standard shower or a rain shower. there was also a tv in the bathroom, which i'm not sure is necessary. the facilities - unfortunately i didn't find the time to visit the pool area or the gym. the executive club - up there with some of the best i been in. very spacious, the standard 2 hours free cocktails and canapés. overall a great place to stay and would most definitely consider staying again next time i'm in kl.

Very impressed with the Pacific Regency. We stayed here for two weeks in November and will be going back next year. We had an executive room which was large and very clean. I would say its a good 4 star, not really a 5 star like the Meridien or Intercontinental. The rooms are a big plus point here compared to any other hotel I have stayed in. There was a good sized kitchen area, a big lounge and a big bedroom. The bathroom was very big and it had the biggest shower I have ever seen. The housekeepng came every day and cleaned the room very well. Full sized fridge and plates etc were supplied. The restaurant Soi 23 was excellent, we had the best Thai food in KL at Soi 23. It was also very reasonably priced and the service was very good.The hotel security was very reassuring, two guards at the front door was good to see.The hotel is a quiet street and its about 15 minutes walk to get anywhere, not to much of a problem as a Taxi was about £2 to £3 to get into the centre of town. the Monorail is about 15 minutes walk at least. The hotel do not provide a shuttle bus into town which I think they should.Taxis are easy to get from the front of the hotel, didnt have any problems. Its 150 RM to get to the airport. Hotel is highly recommended. There is a on site launderette which came in handy.About £4 for a wash and dry for a large load.

After reading the reviews, I choosed this hotel for my family short trip in KL. Booked a 3 Bedroom Premier Suite, requested for high floor and a baby cot which was given to us. The room was spacious for big family (4 Adult 6 Children) and even had room for the kids to run around playing hide and seek. Every room had prayer mat. Loved the facilities here, the swimming pool (we had a great time with the kids), sauna and not to forget the self service laundry. We tried the breakfast at the hotel. There was alot of choices but the best was the pastry! Would like to compliment the lady staff manning the lobby cafe, the lady manning the mini shop and also one of the guy from the Binjai restaurant who attended to us for IRD (Room 2506). All 3 staff was exceptional and friendly. Downside is that we had problems with thr elevator or keycards. Not once but many times. We were stuck in the lift on our 1st night for quite some time till we had to wait for the lift to go down back to lobby. Very frustrating. Receptionist wasnt very helpful till we had to request the lady to come and follow us to the lift. We observed that this issue happen when using the 1st lift on the left. It is not only us having this issue. You guys might want to check on this. Just to add on, from checking in, mid and out, the receptionist staff esp the ladies wasnt welcoming. Need to improve on this. Overall our family loved our stay here..except for the elevator and we will definitely choose to stay here again next time!

All of their staff are very friendly and accommodating. I have booked a club room for my husband’s birthday and apart from the nice view of the twin towers, they booked us in their highest floor. The club lounge is very nice especially when we had our breakfast there with the view of the city. All the best to Mandarin Oriental. Thank you Akiko of reception for assisting our stay.

A bit long story, but ended with good impression. This is our third stay at Le Apple, and this time prior to the trip, we booked the connecting room for 3 consecutive nights. Unfortunately, something went wrong, BUT I admired their enthusiastic staffs to help solve the problem eventually. The 1st issue started from check in, where we were told we couldn't get the connecting room as per the confirmation via Agoda's inbox message, the communication with a hotel staff prior to the trip. OK, I was tired from the flight and don't want to make any issue, just need to check in, keep the luggages, and take family out for dinner. But, the hotel staff managed us to get room side by side, and I think it was good enough. In fact, none of us has a problem except our 11-year-old son whom like to get nearby his mother. The 2nd issue came after we got into the room, where we can smell a strong scent of cigarette from somewhere, but clearly not from the same floor as I went outside the room to investigate. I called the reception and a staff came with some kind of spray to refresh the room. After 10 minutes, the smell still not good, but we have to go out for a dinner. So, we visit the front desk to inform them of the ongoing problem. They said they will manage to have an air purifier to get into our room, and they said they will have a staff to investigate also. That night there was a big air purifier sitting near to our bed and the smell was 80% better when we got back. The next morning we left hotel early on a taxi, and suddenly the hotel staff gave me a phone call saying that they can find a connecting room for us. So, we can switch the room when we go back in the evening. We appreciated a lot for their concern and services to customers. We thought nothing was going to change. We were a bit worried when we booked this hotel since previous reviews have not been so good. But we had a positive surprise! It is of course still a 5-star hotel (stars have nothing to do with how new the hotel is) with all services that a good hotel offers: restaurants, bars, swimming pool, fitness center etc. The hotel has a sky bar on the 13th floor with a beautiful view of the PETRONAS Towers and the Menara TV tower. The sky bar offers free coffee / tea with cookies every night between 9 and 11 PM. The rooms are big and spacious. We asked for a room high up (got one at level 16) with King-Size Bed and a view of PETRONAS Towers. We got everything we asked for. Yes, if you look closely you can see that the hotel is a bit old, but it was still very clean and nothing was broken in our room. They do not yet have flat screen TV:s, which nowadays feel a bit strange, but they do have a fast internet connection. The location is good. There is a 5 minute walk to the nearest Monorailstation and/or to PETRONAS Towers and the KLCC subway station. The Suria KLCC shopping center at PETRONAS Towers is the best we have visited (and we visited a lot!) offering both very expensive brands and more "normal-priced" brands such as GAP, Esprit, Nike etc. The KLCC park behind the towers is absolutely beautiful. Once you are at the PETRONAS Towers, you can also take the airconditioned skybridge from the Convention Center which takes you all the way down to Bukit Bintang, where there are more shopping centers and a lot of restaurants. All-in-all it is a 25 minute walk from the Maya hotel.

We had a good experience in this hotel and would definitely come back when we have the chance. Hotel location was superb, 5 minutes walk will bring you to the new pavilion mall in the heart of bukit bintang area. There is a bridge between the hotel and pavilion mall that it is practically connected to each other and you can go in and out as often as you want between the hotel and the shopping area. The room was nice, clean and modern but the height of the bath tub was a bit too high making it difficult to get in and out of it. You have to take your shower in it though. Other downside was the lift. There are about 30 floors in the hotel and there are only 3 lifts. So you will have to wait for sometime before getting access to it. the hotel was packed as the restaurants can barely cope up with the number of guests during breakfast. Checking in/out was easy. But dont make local calls from the room as it is quite pricey. Anyway, it was a really good value and the location of the hotel makes it a big winner.

I was very happy with this hotel, great location as it was only up the street from The Thai Embassy. 7 Eleven across the road and Domino's! The Petronas Twin Towers and the train station wasn't too far away. Rather surprised for a Four Star hotel that they didn't have red wine! One of the main reasons I choose this hotel was for The Shuttle Service which was only one way from the hotel to 3 or 4 stops and NOT TO THE AIRPORT. I queried this and was told that the customer needs to check with the hotel first! I have never heard the likes of this before! Why would one check the hotel first? I suggest as they advertise their Shuttle Service specifying the restrictions! I have never heard of this before and I use hotels with A Shuttle Service all the time! I only gave 3 stars for cleanliness as the floor was dirty!

I just stayed at The Royale Chulan Hotel for 6 nights in October 2012. The hotel is perfectly situated only 5 minutes walk from the main shopping strip of Bukit Bintang (find out how to cut through the rear of the hotel to the shopping area). It is very close to the Pavillion Shopping Centre which is one of the newest and best multi storey Shopping Malls in KL with everything you need including every fast food outlet and a full range supermarket. The Hotel is only a few years old and has a beautiful and unique Malaysian appearance so it offers the traveller to Malaysia a wonderful experience. The expansive lobby presents a very opulent first impression, and all the staff are just incredible! I had breakfast included each morning and the service was impeccable. I stayed in a deluxe room and it was huge, including a full size bathroom with separate toilet, separate shower, and a full size bath. The king size bed was delightful. The room had a fridge, tv with some english channels including movie channels, free wi-fi, ironing facilities, a desk, and a luxurious leather chair and ottoman. My room was on Level 2 which is the pool level, and my room opened directly out onto the pool, with my own private coutyard. The pool is a refreshing necessity in Kuala Lumpur if you are not used to the heat, and you can see the tops of the Twin Towers whilst swimming in luxury. Breakfast offered a huge choice of delicious foods including Western, Asian, and Arabic cuisine. But above the excellent standard and location of this hotel, it is the customer service from every member of the staff that I will remember the most. I have stayed in hotels in New York, Paris, Rome, London and around the world and the service at this hotel was just wonderful and could not be improved upon. Don't even look anywhere else, The Royale Chulan Hotel will give you an unforgettable experience if you're visiting KL. There literally is nothing more you need in a hotel.

Thank you Element staff for making our stay very memorable, especially when you guys surprise my husband with a birthday cake and a sweet note from the team. We are very touched by your kind gesture. I would like to compliment this hotel and encourage all travellers to book with Element KL by Westin. It is new, the room is spacious, bed is comfortable, stay at level 51 with amazing view despite not facing KLCC. The room has direct USB charging plus USB plugging from mobile to Smart TV. Another great point is that there is 3M filter system which it is safe for drinking from the 3M labeled tap. This is better than the usual 2 free bottles of mineral water. Iron, ironing board and bedroom slippers are available too. The bathroom is very spacious, great for big-sized travellers. It uses both rain shower and shower head. I love the toiletries which are organic, good for travellers with sensitive skin I guess. I cannot find any hair dryer though. Make use of the infinity pool at level 39, it is awesome. When we swim backwards, we can see ourselves from the ceiling mirror. We take pictures and it is so instagrammable! Check-in is at level 40. It is abit challenging to identify the exterior of the hotel as it is a full black tinted glass tall building. It is about 10 to 15-min walk to KLCC and other shopping malls. It is near to some embassies too. Security is 24 hours at level 1. My husband and I enjoy our stay so much that we would rather sleep in than to get ourselves out to do some shopping but well, we need to get out to get food. There are other available services which we have no chance to experience. Eg free rental of bicycle, yoga class in the sky, sky dining, beer promotion etc. The design and layout of the lift lobby to room corridors are uniquely and consistently designed as well. One thing is that we can hear other guests closing theirs door, it is loud. I believe it is due to the door for being heavy. I truly urge all travellers to book Elements when you visit

Stayed at this hotel with my Mom for 3 nights. At first this hotel was chosen in the internet because of its amazing outdoor pool with a magnificent view on the famous twin towers - Petronas. When we arrived there late in the evening the staff at the reception was very welcoming. The room wasn’t very luxurious and a bit old but nice and cozy enough, also with a view on the Petronas towers which is very beautiful at night. We had some problems with the AC and toilet but both were fixed in a short time. The buffet breakfast offered quite a variety of tasty food and fruits and delicious cakes, and we enjoyed nice and peaceful relaxing atmosphere of the place. We were very pleased with the work of concierge Aoran. He did more than just a perfect work. Every request was fulfilled in the best way, and everything arranged in a timely manner with no delays. The location of the hotel also was very convenient. It took us only about 5-10 min walk to the Petronas towers. And several big shopping malls are also within a walking distance. There is a Monorail station just across the road from the hotel! Which is veeeery convenient when you go shopping in those malls and need to get back with a lot of shopping bags, the tickets for Monorail are really cheap. It’s also a fast and cheap way to get to the other places of KL and to watch the city around through the windows. We used it to get to the Birds Park (which is up to the last station, and then took a taxi from there to the park itself). The hotel also has Mandala Spa located in there, but unfortunately we didn’t have time to try it. But I know it’s very famous so next time I’m sure to stay at this very hotel and use the Spa packages.

I visited with my father and my grandmother and we decided to stay in an apartment with 2 rooms. The photos displayed on their website accurately depicts what you get unlike some other hotel websites. The design of the apartment was done very well and you can definitely tell there's constant maintenance and renovations. The daily servicing of our apartment was done promptly and with great efficiency. The breakfast though is not the best but it also depends on your taste and where you're from. The location is in the centre of KLCC which is where the business district is. We didn't end up catching the public transport much so I can't comment on the accessibility for public transport. It is right next to the Petronas Twin Towers so you can easily visit that attraction. You can also visit the Aquaria very easily as well. There is also a Suria KLCC where you can do your shopping ranging from high end brands to normal everyday brands. However, you will find things more expensive here. You're better off taking a taxi or transport to other shopping malls where you can get better bargain. Overall, I thought my stay was amazing and I wish I stayed longer. The location is amazing and the apartment itself was amazing. I'd definitely recommend it if you're travelling with a family. I'd definitely stay here again.

we have truly enjoyed our first two nights in intercontinental kl and wished we could’ve extended our stay there. the hotel: lovely newly renovated room with luxurious feel, spacious room and spacious bathroom, really what you expect from a 5-star hotel. the staff & service: superb. hotel staff has been very friendly from the moment we stepped out of our airport shuttle. very child-friendly too, despite seeing the hotel is geared toward business hotel. the hotel has complimentary shuttle service, outsourced to metro taxi, to suria klcc and bukit bintang with friendly driver who accommodated us with cartoons from youtube when our little girl was cranky in car due to traffic jam during rush hour. the most memorable experience during our stay has been meeting our concierge, who was very professional and friendly. the concierge manager, mr. azli, kindly helped us called our bus operator odyssey to correct our schedule (which we have booked the day before but with mistake) and patiently helped us to reschedule our hotel stay in singapore (which is a member of hotel’s group also). thank you mr. azli and intercontinental kl for making our stay memorable! will definitely come back to this hotel!

Yes, hotel is above five stars. and is worth the price and value. I Would like recommend this property to all. I wish from General Manager to read on this assessment "Review". Hotel management is very integrated, responsive and helpful. Duty Manager, Front Office, The reception, Experience Concierge, "Joshua" and "Suria" And all the staff are very professional, cooperation and welcoming. Friendly staff in all departments. A new and modern place and wonderful smart buildings. and best "Views". Elevators, corridors, rooms, furniture, restaurant, swimming pool, facilities and the hotel's smell are very refined, high taste, cleanliness and luxury. Thank you and everyone for their kindness, dealings and communication, thanks for the hospitality, for the comfort and satisfaction, for the quality, for attention and care. The hotel/rooms were very clean and had character with high ceilings and great details. The bathroom (with an enclosed shower) was one of the best we had during our stay in Malaysia. The staff were efficient and straightforward about the amenities (no wifi in the rooms). The location is great with easy 1 minute access to the monorail and the neighborhood was upscale. The quality we received for the price was exceptional. We will book this hotel for our next stay in KL.

I love the hotel's location, chose the place because it was close to Jalan Tun Razak. Room is smaller than Regency's other hotels. The bed was comfy and the other reason why I chose this hotel was because it provided guests with 4 pillows. The place was clean, our toilet in room 1301 had a little leak at one of the water pipes. Housekeeping was polite and the guy who helped checked me in was nice. They hardly replenish the food for breakfast after 9.30am, not that attentive to the food, so you have to ask them to replenish the food if you want to eat. Upon checking out, only one parking ticket could be validated, said the front desk receptionist. Which is bad because I book the room for two pax, and we drove separate cars. I tried to get some explanation from the guy who checked me out but he only said one car per room. So the parking cost RM16 for one night without validation. I believe this is something the hotel should look into as it brings a bad name to the Regency chain.

Flamingo By the Lake was a great place to stay set slightly away from the hustle and bustle of KL centre. Beautiful surrounds and very helpful staff. Rooms were decorated well with small balconies over-looking the lake. This hotel delivered high standards at a budget price - remarkable value for money. Do not be put of with the distance from KL centre - taxis are very cheap and easily arranged. You will save a fortune staying here and experience a quality hotel. I have also stayed at the Impiana as a comparison it is twice as expensive and about the same quality.

the rate i paid, which comes with breakfast for 2 and free internet, was exceptional due to the opening promotion. the somerset ampang kl is a brand new hotel at a busy yet convenient location. it's somewhat away from the shopping area so it's relatively quiet but is only a short 5-minute walk from the ampang park lrt station and a further 10-minute walk to klcc. the hotel is immediately adjacent to the british high commission so you know you are a safe area. although jalan ampang is one of the main arteris and is often very busy with traffic, the noise is well shielded because the hotel windows have good sound insulatation. the bed is very comfortable, and the decoration is simple but very modern. i will definitely stay here again if the rate doesn't go up too much after the promotional period ends.

International 5-star hotel standard, expectations was high and it did not fail me. Having stayed at many international 5-star hotel chains, this probably ranks as one of the best. Comfortable bed, good quality linen, extremely spacious rooms and room layout/design was top-notch. Butler service was a nice touch. And they served iced fruit-infused tea while I was waiting to check-in. Was a little pricey, but paying for quality. Breakfast selection wasn't that fantastic though, but the other positive aspects of the hotel more than made up for it. good stay overall. Highly recommended.

The view from the infinity pool is a MUST! Being able to walk back and forth from Suria KLCC/Petronas Towers was also a huge plus. There are also plenty of banks with global ATMs near the hotel, so getting cash was really convenient. The breakfast is kind of cheap quality, but it's a budget hotel, so. (Also, they don't provide shampoo or conditioner. There's a Watsons down the block where you can buy some travel-sized bottles for cheap, but it might be best to bring your own.)

We split our holiday between Singapore (10 days) and Kuala Lumpur (5 days), we travelled by train from Singapre it was a tiring day as the train broke down, which increased the journey time by another 2.5 hours. It was nice to be met by friendly smiling faces when checking in, the room was much bigger than either of the Singapore hotels we stayed in,the housekeeping was good, we had easy access to the gym and the pool.The food was good and the dining staff were very attentive. The hotel was close to the Petronas towers, and getting round KL was easy via taxi's as they were parked on the hotel forecourt. I would have no hesitation in staying in this hotel again, the value for money was much better in KL than Singapore

Location was perfect, close to many sites including the twin towers. It is immaculately clean and comfortable. Wilenda, manager on site, is a delight. She is so kind, helpful, & available. She made our stay perfect! Thank you Wilenda! The central property management did not answer emails so communication is poor but that is beyond the control of the excellent Wilenda. Our only problem had nothing to do with the hotel itself. It was the fault of Agoda. My reservation said MaxStays at Kirana. When we got there, they told us the hotel moved to Marc Residence. We went to Marc Residence and were told no, the hotel is at Kirana. I was getting anxious that we would have no place to stay! We went back to Kirana and a different security guard helped. He called the Marc Residence and the manager Wilenda came to get us. Agoda never informed us of these changes. Back & forth was stressful & expensive! The 24/7 contact a recording! Shame on Agoda for communication!

This is a very very nice hotel that is not in the middle of KL, it is just out of the centre of the city and for those who like to walk about 20 Min. This hotel allows you to experience the local community and the more you explore the more you find. Food and dinning in this area is at reasonable prices, unlike the centre of the city. Get out and explore by foot great, you can see and taste Malaysia on foot without tourist inflated prises. Big thank you to the staff of this hotel. P.S. newly renovated hotel

The hotel is in an ideal location if you want to do a shopping trip or even sight seeing. Pavilion was a 5 minute walk and if you go the other direction you can get to KLCC and the Pretronas towers in around 10 or 15. Also, the ride to the Batu Caves was quite fast and cost around 17 ringgit. The bathroom was nice however the hot water shower was old and poor pressure and also made a lot of noise when you turned on the pump. If the room had a mini fridge it would be perfect!! The staff member who checked us in was lovely, however the next day I went to ask the lady for no room service and she was a bit stand offish. Later that afternoon we went back for a sleep and had room service pounding on the door like crazy and trying to get in. This is the only negative thing I have and I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to KL.
