Check in at the lobby was efficient and friendly. I was ushered to the empty Hyatt Club Priority lane even though I am not a member, as the other check-in desks were occupied. Very thoughtful. No welcome drinks provided and more importantly, I didn't notice any lounge area around the check-in desks, for the rest of the family to wait while rooms check-in were being processed. Also, would prefer a permanent reception area instead of the plug-and-go check-in counters. Currently it feels cold, like a lift lobby of any other commercial building. My standard rooms were fantastic. Design was fantastic. Love, love the spacious layout, with the bed in the middle of the room. I especially enjoyed having a little walk-in wardrobe which was in fact a tiny room by itself. Goes a long way into making your room neater as shoes, luggages and clothes can be hidden away from sight from the main area. Didn't know what some dials and buttons were for. No labels nor instructions located. On top of a free-form pool for adults, there is also a nice shallow kids pool, with lounges around for parents. I believe the kids' pool is partially covered, which would have been a great respite from the strong tropical afternoon sun. It was cloudy/rainy during my stay however, and the water was chilly. My 4-year old couldn't last more than 20 mins without shivering. Temperature controlled would have been lovely for days like this. For families with active kids, the KLCC park has a crazily huge playground area, about 10 minutes walk in the park from the hotel. Location of the hotel is also near the KL nightlife area, about 5 walk away.

I am booking on behalf of my supplier in china. We check in late midnight on that day and the receptionist ( a chinese lady ) totally ignore me after i tell her that i am booking on behalf of my china suppliers ( 2 gentlemen ) who are with me all the time. The receptionist tell my supplier that they do no have non smoking room available and can only provide smoking room and also she said that whether we want a room with the view to KLCC or not. All this to me is very unprofessional and it seems like I am trying to book a cheap hotel to my supplier. I have paid all the hotel booking fees in advance ( non refundable ) and it sounds like i am trying to book a budget or maybe low cost hotel to my supplier, i mean from my supplier point of view. I personally think this is very not professional for a hotel which located in almost the heart of the city of Malaysia and also a probably above 4 stars class of hotel. Please take note on this. it's always nice to start a holiday with a complimentary upgrade, especially when you have already booked a pretty swish room. we had initially booked an horizon club executive room at the shangri la in kl and were upgraded to an horizon club executive suite located on the 15th floor. pity we only had 1 night here. check in - we could have picked a worse time of day to check in, 1:30 peak hour, as soon as the check in staff identified that we had booked horizon club we were taken immediately to the club and checked in without delay. the room - it's a massive suite with a well equipped study and a toilet and basin close by, a lounge room, a bedroom and a huge bathroom and shower area bigger than some hotel rooms i've stayed in. most asian hotels offer free wifi and the shangri-la was no different. the connection speed was good. the study was spacious and had a desk and lamp and there was also a nespresso coffee machine. the lounge had a 2 seater sofa, 2 chairs, coffee table and a huge flat screen tv and windows that wrapped around providing views of the city and hills beyond. the bed was very comfortable not to hard and easy to sleep on and there was a large tv also found in the bedroom. i did enjoy the electronic day and night curtains that opened and closed at the press of a button. the bathroom as mentioned earlier was massive and was equipped with l'occataine products. my wife found the complimentary hairband most useful. the shower was very large and you had the option of a standard shower or a rain shower. there was also a tv in the bathroom, which i'm not sure is necessary. the facilities - unfortunately i didn't find the time to visit the pool area or the gym. the executive club - up there with some of the best i been in. very spacious, the standard 2 hours free cocktails and canapés. overall a great place to stay and would most definitely consider staying again next time i'm in kl.

Very impressed with the Pacific Regency. We stayed here for two weeks in November and will be going back next year. We had an executive room which was large and very clean. I would say its a good 4 star, not really a 5 star like the Meridien or Intercontinental. The rooms are a big plus point here compared to any other hotel I have stayed in. There was a good sized kitchen area, a big lounge and a big bedroom. The bathroom was very big and it had the biggest shower I have ever seen. The housekeepng came every day and cleaned the room very well. Full sized fridge and plates etc were supplied. The restaurant Soi 23 was excellent, we had the best Thai food in KL at Soi 23. It was also very reasonably priced and the service was very good.The hotel security was very reassuring, two guards at the front door was good to see.The hotel is a quiet street and its about 15 minutes walk to get anywhere, not to much of a problem as a Taxi was about £2 to £3 to get into the centre of town. the Monorail is about 15 minutes walk at least. The hotel do not provide a shuttle bus into town which I think they should.Taxis are easy to get from the front of the hotel, didnt have any problems. Its 150 RM to get to the airport. Hotel is highly recommended. There is a on site launderette which came in handy.About £4 for a wash and dry for a large load.

This is the first executive suites we traveled for a leisure trip, and was so far one of the best. As we are travelling couple, we opt for the 1 room suite, there are also 2, and 3 rooms option if you need. Out suites come with a full feature kitchen, living room, bed room and also a big bathroom! Let's starts with the living room, there is a comfy sofas for 2, a coffee table with some books and brochures. A large 32" flat screen with more than 10 local channels, there is also a DVD player cum radio tuner if you need. At the other side of the living room was a writing desk, a fax-machine if you need to use. There is a balcony with 'city-view' but the grass-door for some reason is locked and not accessible. The kitchen is fully furnished with a 2 door fridge,a microwave and hot-plate cooking stove and etc. You can serve a full course meal with the tools provided here. The bed room itself has a big and comfy bed! On top of that, there are also providing a numbers of soft pillow, which should give you a comfy good night sleep! In our suite the air con is able to be individually controlled , one in the living room, and the 2nd one in the bed room. The big toilet is attached to the bed room, and has a fully features, good showering system! The bath tub is big and spacious. Basic toiletries are all provided and all towers are perfectly cleaned! The included breakfast buffet spread is above average with good quality food. There are a few type of beverage provided inclusive of fruit juices, coffee & tea. Egg stations, noodle, rice and English breakfast menu.

All of their staff are very friendly and accommodating. I have booked a club room for my husband’s birthday and apart from the nice view of the twin towers, they booked us in their highest floor. The club lounge is very nice especially when we had our breakfast there with the view of the city. All the best to Mandarin Oriental. Thank you Akiko of reception for assisting our stay.

We were a bit worried when we booked this hotel since previous reviews have not been so good. But we had a positive surprise! It is of course still a 5-star hotel (stars have nothing to do with how new the hotel is) with all services that a good hotel offers: restaurants, bars, swimming pool, fitness center etc. The hotel has a sky bar on the 13th floor with a beautiful view of the PETRONAS Towers and the Menara TV tower. The sky bar offers free coffee / tea with cookies every night between 9 and 11 PM. The rooms are big and spacious. We asked for a room high up (got one at level 16) with King-Size Bed and a view of PETRONAS Towers. We got everything we asked for. Yes, if you look closely you can see that the hotel is a bit old, but it was still very clean and nothing was broken in our room. They do not yet have flat screen TV:s, which nowadays feel a bit strange, but they do have a fast internet connection. The location is good. There is a 5 minute walk to the nearest Monorailstation and/or to PETRONAS Towers and the KLCC subway station. The Suria KLCC shopping center at PETRONAS Towers is the best we have visited (and we visited a lot!) offering both very expensive brands and more "normal-priced" brands such as GAP, Esprit, Nike etc. The KLCC park behind the towers is absolutely beautiful. Once you are at the PETRONAS Towers, you can also take the airconditioned skybridge from the Convention Center which takes you all the way down to Bukit Bintang, where there are more shopping centers and a lot of restaurants. All-in-all it is a 25 minute walk from the Maya hotel.

this hotel is in a great location for klcc. a short (covered) walk takes you to the ampang park lrt station and shopping centre. klcc and the petronas towers are not much further, and within a short-ish walking distance. hotel breakfast was amazing - there was an incredible variety to choose from and all of it freshly prepared and of very high quality! the rooms were clean, a reasonable size and comfortable – we particularly liked the “rainforest” shower. we had great views of the french embassy and the mountains, but there was also a good view of the petronas towers and kl tower from the windows in the corridor. all-in-all, a good hotel which we would certainly try to use again.

We had a good experience in this hotel and would definitely come back when we have the chance. Hotel location was superb, 5 minutes walk will bring you to the new pavilion mall in the heart of bukit bintang area. There is a bridge between the hotel and pavilion mall that it is practically connected to each other and you can go in and out as often as you want between the hotel and the shopping area. The room was nice, clean and modern but the height of the bath tub was a bit too high making it difficult to get in and out of it. You have to take your shower in it though. Other downside was the lift. There are about 30 floors in the hotel and there are only 3 lifts. So you will have to wait for sometime before getting access to it. the hotel was packed as the restaurants can barely cope up with the number of guests during breakfast. Checking in/out was easy. But dont make local calls from the room as it is quite pricey. Anyway, it was a really good value and the location of the hotel makes it a big winner.

The location is great, 5 minutes taxi from the Petronas Twin Towers, near the embassy of Thailand if you want to do your visa, overall near the touristic center of the city, clean rooms, clean bathrooms, comfortable place, good food, great lunch meals for only 20 MYR, free laundry rooms with free soap if you want to stay for more of a couple of days, staff welcoming and helpful, this is the first hotel that completely satisfy my expectations in a long time, best value for your money i guarantee.

Thought this hotel was exceptional from various aspects. Firstly, very convenient for walking to KLCC, the Pavilion, and old China Town. The quality and cleanliness of the hotel is the best in KL , and we've stayed in several. They are very welcoming and try their best to help. Some have balconies, kitchens and lounges. Has a good cigar lounge with large bar area and nice pool. Quite location despite being in the centre of town. One thing is that they are ill prepared for Chinese clients, as nobody spoke Chinese and the breakfast didn't cater for Asian tastes. That said, this 5 star is the best so far and would heartily recommend it at RM300 to RM350.

Thank you Element staff for making our stay very memorable, especially when you guys surprise my husband with a birthday cake and a sweet note from the team. We are very touched by your kind gesture. I would like to compliment this hotel and encourage all travellers to book with Element KL by Westin. It is new, the room is spacious, bed is comfortable, stay at level 51 with amazing view despite not facing KLCC. The room has direct USB charging plus USB plugging from mobile to Smart TV. Another great point is that there is 3M filter system which it is safe for drinking from the 3M labeled tap. This is better than the usual 2 free bottles of mineral water. Iron, ironing board and bedroom slippers are available too. The bathroom is very spacious, great for big-sized travellers. It uses both rain shower and shower head. I love the toiletries which are organic, good for travellers with sensitive skin I guess. I cannot find any hair dryer though. Make use of the infinity pool at level 39, it is awesome. When we swim backwards, we can see ourselves from the ceiling mirror. We take pictures and it is so instagrammable! Check-in is at level 40. It is abit challenging to identify the exterior of the hotel as it is a full black tinted glass tall building. It is about 10 to 15-min walk to KLCC and other shopping malls. It is near to some embassies too. Security is 24 hours at level 1. My husband and I enjoy our stay so much that we would rather sleep in than to get ourselves out to do some shopping but well, we need to get out to get food. There are other available services which we have no chance to experience. Eg free rental of bicycle, yoga class in the sky, sky dining, beer promotion etc. The design and layout of the lift lobby to room corridors are uniquely and consistently designed as well. One thing is that we can hear other guests closing theirs door, it is loud. I believe it is due to the door for being heavy. I truly urge all travellers to book Elements when you visit

Stayed at this hotel with my Mom for 3 nights. At first this hotel was chosen in the internet because of its amazing outdoor pool with a magnificent view on the famous twin towers - Petronas. When we arrived there late in the evening the staff at the reception was very welcoming. The room wasn’t very luxurious and a bit old but nice and cozy enough, also with a view on the Petronas towers which is very beautiful at night. We had some problems with the AC and toilet but both were fixed in a short time. The buffet breakfast offered quite a variety of tasty food and fruits and delicious cakes, and we enjoyed nice and peaceful relaxing atmosphere of the place. We were very pleased with the work of concierge Aoran. He did more than just a perfect work. Every request was fulfilled in the best way, and everything arranged in a timely manner with no delays. The location of the hotel also was very convenient. It took us only about 5-10 min walk to the Petronas towers. And several big shopping malls are also within a walking distance. There is a Monorail station just across the road from the hotel! Which is veeeery convenient when you go shopping in those malls and need to get back with a lot of shopping bags, the tickets for Monorail are really cheap. It’s also a fast and cheap way to get to the other places of KL and to watch the city around through the windows. We used it to get to the Birds Park (which is up to the last station, and then took a taxi from there to the park itself). The hotel also has Mandala Spa located in there, but unfortunately we didn’t have time to try it. But I know it’s very famous so next time I’m sure to stay at this very hotel and use the Spa packages.

I have booked a 3-room apartment (with breakfast) for my family and I. Despite in the midst of upgrading their lobby, and we have to process our check-in in the makeshift lobby, the staffs were friendly and efficient. Room key was issued within 20 minutes. The apartment was spacious. One room with king size bed, one room with queen size bed and the last with 2 single beds and all rooms come with attached bathroom. The kitchen was self sufficient with utensils and cutlery. We really felt at home. Ascott is located conveniently opposite KLCC which makes it easy for us to go to various popular malls by foot. Staff were friendly and the breakfast served was of intercontinental style with a tinge of local flavor. The restaurant was situated on the same level as the swimming pool and certain tables offer wonderful view of the skylines around KLCC. Not recommended for people who are afraid of heights though. The only down side is that there were many mosquitoes at the makeshift lobby area, including the toilet at the ground level. Very satisfied, on the overall, with the service and condition of the hotel.

stayed for 2 nights in intercontinental kuala lumpur, we arrived after midnight and the staff quickly help us checked in and in short time, helped us with extra bed. i bought my hotel voucher from agoda, the voucher was for 2 rooms, with max 6 people, and i didn't know that the voucher was not include extra bed. but the hotel staff still help us with the extra bed and the best part, they never charge us because of this missed. one of the best stay in kl, and definitely will be back and will recommend the hotel to family and friends =) its just 10 min away from klcc, nice walk, location in the middle of the city. when you need cash, citibank is just beside the hotel. but the best part of my stay, was the service, it is 5 star hotel service

Staff are fantastic - the best team I have come across in Malaysia. Rooms are beautiful, with great amenities & fantastic views. The pool area is perfect with very attentive staff. Vertigo is the best rooftop bar area in the city - the drinks are very reasonably priced as well. The staff, in my opinion, have really got the balance between always being there when needed but not over intrusive. Not a complaint but one area for improvement would be breakfast: - the fruit, cereals, cheese, cold meats selection from the cold/non-cooked section was great - the tea & coffee service is great (coffee not fantastic but definitely drinkable) - free flow prosecco available and fruit juices which was lovely - views from the restaurant are spectacular - the hot food area was underwhelming & the selection could have been better - the temperature of the hot food was cold Having recently stayed in the Four Seasons, Ritz-C and the Majestic in KL - the Banyan Tree for us was hands down the best.

Had to go to make a Non B visa at the Thai embassy and was alone and nervous but the staff at the hotel was very helpful and polite. The location is the best for those of us who need to go to the embassy! Business center was convenient too. Really appreciate the support of the night staff who assisted me even though I arrived in the middle of the night!. Will definitely be back and will tell my friends too. Keep up the great work!!

The hotel/rooms were very clean and had character with high ceilings and great details. The bathroom (with an enclosed shower) was one of the best we had during our stay in Malaysia. The staff were efficient and straightforward about the amenities (no wifi in the rooms). The location is great with easy 1 minute access to the monorail and the neighborhood was upscale. The quality we received for the price was exceptional. We will book this hotel for our next stay in KL.

I love the hotel's location, chose the place because it was close to Jalan Tun Razak. Room is smaller than Regency's other hotels. The bed was comfy and the other reason why I chose this hotel was because it provided guests with 4 pillows. The place was clean, our toilet in room 1301 had a little leak at one of the water pipes. Housekeeping was polite and the guy who helped checked me in was nice. They hardly replenish the food for breakfast after 9.30am, not that attentive to the food, so you have to ask them to replenish the food if you want to eat. Upon checking out, only one parking ticket could be validated, said the front desk receptionist. Which is bad because I book the room for two pax, and we drove separate cars. I tried to get some explanation from the guy who checked me out but he only said one car per room. So the parking cost RM16 for one night without validation. I believe this is something the hotel should look into as it brings a bad name to the Regency chain.

The chalet is spacious. The double bed has the space of a king size bed, it could comfortably accommodates me (7 months pregnant at that time), husband and our 2 years old toddler. The sliding door separates the bedroom from the rest of the room, making it easier for my son to sleep while my husband watched TV late at night. Wifi is complimentary. Breakfast is not unfortunately, but you can find lots of eateries outside. If you plan to cook, the pantry is well-equipped with everything you need (fridge, microwave, induction cooker and utensils), you’ll only have to bring the ingredients. The bathroom is huge, the only drawback is the volatile performance of the heater and hairs laying around the floor. Our car is conveniently parked underneath the chalet but we have to take the stairs to get to the room. The balcony overlooking the lake brings a relaxing ambience. Aside from the busy traffic, overall I am very satisfied, I don’t feel stress at all staying at one of the busiest location in Ampang. Furthermore, the chalet is reasonably priced.

when we arrived to kl we found it best to get a shuttle bus to the train station and then trained it to kl sentral. from there you catch the lrt to ampang park station. the somerset hotel is about a 5 minute walk from ampang park station. if you exit the station onto the street and you see mcdonalds on the opposite side of the road, turn right and continue on the same side of the road, cross the intersection and walk about 5 minutes and you will see the hsc building (blue text) the hotel is the same buiding. we had trouble finding it because the name somerset is not as visible as hsc menara name. if you exit the station and walk through the plaza where mcdonalds and pizza hut is you are on the other side of the road to where the hotel is so you walk left down the street then cross over. if you are still lost the hotel is next to the british embassy. upon arrival to the hotel the staff are very friendly and you are warmly greeted at the entry. there is a $200 miscellaneous fee which is returned to you upon checkout. your bags are taken to your room. entering the room it is very clean, air conditioned and a king bed! with a lcd tv and desk, a little kitchen area which supplies cutlery and plates etc, a microwave and bar fridge. complementary bottled water each day. bathroom is amazing, very posh! newly renovated i would say. huge bathtub overlooks city. lots of mirrors. room is cleaned daily. breakfast was served on the 13th floor in one of the apartments i think because they were refurbishing the restaurant when we were there. not a huge range for breakfast but enough to keep the stomach satisfied. pool/gym/jacuzzi on the 22nd floor, amazing views clean pool.

On arrival at the Ritz Carlton with 3 other girlfriends we were disappointed to find our rooms were not next to each other. We expressed this to the reception staff and they immediately attended to it very apologetically and we were given larger rooms next to each other. The promised Butler comes to your room to finish off the checking in with juice and cold washers to help relax you. The service at this hotel is excellent. All of the staff talk to you even if they just happen to be at the lift with you and gave us so many tips on the places we were going from how to barter at China Town, to clothes to wear at Genting Highlands. They remember what drinks you each like the next day both at breakfast and in the lobby bar. We had the same barman in the lobby bar each day and he was so attentive to all of our requests even whilst he was so busy with many other patrons. The pianist played most of our requests beautifully. The rooms were well appointed with an IPOD docking station - great idea. There is an easy walk through the hotel to a shopping centre that has many very good restaurants in it, all different nationalities - beautifully designed and great to have so much choice without really having to step outside of the hotel. All in all, for 4 ladies who love to holiday together every year we found the Ritz Carlton Kualar Lumpur a fantastic hotel and one that is going to be hard to match on future holidays - I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to feel spoiled and special for their entire stay.

The view from the infinity pool is a MUST! Being able to walk back and forth from Suria KLCC/Petronas Towers was also a huge plus. There are also plenty of banks with global ATMs near the hotel, so getting cash was really convenient. The breakfast is kind of cheap quality, but it's a budget hotel, so. (Also, they don't provide shampoo or conditioner. There's a Watsons down the block where you can buy some travel-sized bottles for cheap, but it might be best to bring your own.)

This is my second time staying at this hotel. And I’m returning again 2019. Highly recommend to booked the CLUB room ie Club Deluxe, Club premier, Club Executive or suites room. These room types entitled you to club lounge access which has afternoon snacks from 3:30pm and evening cocktails from 5:30pm. 90% of the staff here are amazing! 99% of the staff here can speak good English. One negative point but not important is the guys at the bridge section could be more friendlier, maybe standing at that post all day long can get pretty boring I can imagine. I read bad reviews written by previous guests about this hotel but in all seriousness this hotel is not that bad to what people says. You paid for what you get and some people will never be happy no matter what you do, I have stay over hundreds of hotels and consider that this hotel is only rated as 4 stars in my opinion would top (even better) than some of the 5 stars branded name hotels such as Hilton, Stamford even the Sheraton. If you haven’t heard of Grab, download and setup Grab before you get here. Grab is another form of Uber. It’s very convenience and cheap to get all over KL.

Location was perfect, close to many sites including the twin towers. It is immaculately clean and comfortable. Wilenda, manager on site, is a delight. She is so kind, helpful, & available. She made our stay perfect! Thank you Wilenda! The central property management did not answer emails so communication is poor but that is beyond the control of the excellent Wilenda. Our only problem had nothing to do with the hotel itself. It was the fault of Agoda. My reservation said MaxStays at Kirana. When we got there, they told us the hotel moved to Marc Residence. We went to Marc Residence and were told no, the hotel is at Kirana. I was getting anxious that we would have no place to stay! We went back to Kirana and a different security guard helped. He called the Marc Residence and the manager Wilenda came to get us. Agoda never informed us of these changes. Back & forth was stressful & expensive! The 24/7 contact a recording! Shame on Agoda for communication!

This is a very very nice hotel that is not in the middle of KL, it is just out of the centre of the city and for those who like to walk about 20 Min. This hotel allows you to experience the local community and the more you explore the more you find. Food and dinning in this area is at reasonable prices, unlike the centre of the city. Get out and explore by foot great, you can see and taste Malaysia on foot without tourist inflated prises. Big thank you to the staff of this hotel. P.S. newly renovated hotel

The hotel is in an ideal location if you want to do a shopping trip or even sight seeing. Pavilion was a 5 minute walk and if you go the other direction you can get to KLCC and the Pretronas towers in around 10 or 15. Also, the ride to the Batu Caves was quite fast and cost around 17 ringgit. The bathroom was nice however the hot water shower was old and poor pressure and also made a lot of noise when you turned on the pump. If the room had a mini fridge it would be perfect!! The staff member who checked us in was lovely, however the next day I went to ask the lady for no room service and she was a bit stand offish. Later that afternoon we went back for a sleep and had room service pounding on the door like crazy and trying to get in. This is the only negative thing I have and I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to KL.
