The hotel is located near Hongdae, easy to walk to and close to bus stops and the Hapjeong station. Convenient transportation, with staff available to assist throughout the stay. The room is clean and suitable for 2 people.
Good Location ”
3 mins walk from Hapjeong Station Exit 3 (Staircase) or Exit 4 (with Elevator) . There's a shopping mall and a huge supermarket at exit 9 or 10 of the station. Good for last minute grab. 10 mins walk to the main Street of Hongdae n Hongik Uni where the famous Issac toast is just nearby. Lazy to walk, take one station to Hongdae. Hotel has two entrances, one is facing Yanghwa ro which you need to take lift up to the tiny check-in counter where another back entrance is, leading to the back lane from main road. Counter is More like an information counter than a typical hotel front desk. Staff is just doing their work in robotic manner, they're not rude but just don't expect any warmth welcome or smile. Room is ok for solo traveler providing basic amenities like shower gel shampoo , towels and slippers which for both, i didn't use for personal hygienic reasons. The bed linen was not dirty as what other reviewers described (maybe my pure luck). The bathroom lighting is dim and no shower screen or curtain, imagine the floor after each shower. Room cleaning is on demand so make sure you turn the signal at the door on . For female traveller coming back late, suggest you use the back entrance as the main street ones has no security and anyone could follow up to the room (probably I'm skittish) Overall, it's OK for the price paid if one is not fussy and just looking for a comfortable bed to rest after a long day out

As a hotel located in a very convenient area, the price and facilities are on point. Hongdae is within walking distance and Hapjeong station is a few minutes away connecting you conveniently to major sites and other important destinations such as Yongsan should you need to catch a KTX. The staff went out of their way to help me even going to the trouble and escorting myself to the 7/11 next door (another bonus) in order to purchase a T money card for public transport use. The room was simple but comfortable with a good bath and shower. It’s not a luxury hotel so don’t expect silky sheets and the softest bad of you life. However, it’s a really good balance of comfort and price especially for travellers who spend a lot of time outdoors and just need a good base to sleep, rest or freshen up between adventures.

I don't hate this hotel. However, I wasn't happy with it. It is, absolutely, better than some places I've stayed at. However, the name and price leave you with higher expectations. They failed to meet those. Hotel the Designers is one of my favorite brands. I've stayed in several. I've known it to be both affordable and beautiful. However, the room I received was tiny, the bathroom was dark, the room was wide open when I came in, there were stains on the blanket. I only received information in Hangul. I wouldn't care but the location is right next to the University and you can tell they get many English speaking foreigners. When I went to raise my concerns, I was the first and only person at the desk. When others walked up, they began to address them while I was mid-sentence. I was addressed after a couple of minutes. They were kind but it was frustrating from the moment I saw my room door open to everyone. I couldn't shower because I, literally, couldn't see if the shower/tub was clean since the bathroom was dark. My reservation included breakfast. They didn't tell me about breakfast and when I tried to communicate with the staff, they couldn't help me. Breakfast ended and I, still, don't know the hours for breakfast. Again, this isn't the worst hotel. If I had to, I'd get it again before I chose places like Bobo (most disgusting hotel I've ever booked) next door. I really expected better from this hotel based on the name alone. I deserved better for the price of the room.

The overall stay for my family and I were meeting minimum expectations with the price we are paying for - the rooms are good size but the shower and toilet are in the same room without divider, shower water will splash and wet toilet, toilet paper, and trash can. No place to hang towels or clothes in the shower room. The shower door is semi transparent, it is a hassle for our group of four as mother, sons, and daughter. Breakfast is the most disappointing part - it only runs from 7am to 8:20 - cook per order - not a buffet style (the receptionist wasn’t able to guide us fully due to language barriers, and the guidelines given to us were breakfast is 7 to 9 am, with last food refills at 8:20am). As visitors who are going through time zones changes, we Missed day 1 due to not able to get up before 9am. We made it to the breakfast hall at 8:26am hoping to grab any leftovers ready to eat foods, and the man in there told us closed, closed, closed! The location is solid 15 minutes walk to Hongdae center, not as convenient as advertised. If you are planning and traveling through railway from the airport with a Checked Luggage, a hand luggage, and a bag pack - the walk is quite long before you get in the subway and after the subway to the hotel. There is no elevator from the subway level to the ground level after exiting from the subway - we had to carry our checked luggage through stairs.
