Kuching hotels & accommodations

I was in Kuching for a 3D2N business trip. Everyone was very friendly and I definitely liked it here. Riverside Majestic Hotel is locates at the centerpoint of downtown Kuching. Short walking distance to various amenities. For example, there are 7-11 and Gloria Jeans Cafe right across the street. Cinema is available just next to the hotel, on the 4th floor. Lots of g...

It has been a very wonderful experience to stay in this newly opened hotel in Kuching on my 2014 Christmas holidays with my family members. 1. The room is very cosy and spacious, particularly the bathroom!! 2. Buffet breakfast are served in wide varieties of food choices, among that, nasi lemak is a must try!! 3. The new modernized Boulevard shopping mall located...

I chose Margherita Hotel for my experience in Rain Forest Musical Event was due to best online promotion room rates among the hotels in Kuching. Our experience with the hotel hospitality was when we requested for room change and the attention given was superb. We were granted and lead to the ideal room that we requested. We were also elated as we found out that M...

It was my second time staying in this hotel. This hotel is very convenient; free wifi, free breakfast, free airport pick up (but you need to book through Agoda and key in that info in the agoda booking page, otherwise you will be charged RM 18 for airport pick up), very comfortable room, not too small, but with comfortable bed... It is very affordable and value for wha...

Perfect location.it is located at the centre of Kuching town. I stayed at 3 rooms apartment. The apartment are big and kids are enjoy playing at hall.swimming pool are a bit small but okay for small kids The only problem with this apartment is the rooms are extremely cool.We closed the aircondition but still cool. Cannot control temp Aircond temperature. Overall thi...

This is the best 3 star hotel I'd been stayed so far. Nothing to complaint about. Location, price, cleanliness, food, staff, everything excellent. I'll stay here if travel to Kuching once again & no any other reason to opt to other hotel. Even in 5 star hotel in certain places, I did not feel a good experience like here. Thank you for contribute in our family vacation ...

I've been staying at the hotel for 2 night with breakfast for 2. My stay was great, the hotel was clean and the staff is friendly. The breakfast is good too. I would greatly recommend the hotel to my friends and family. The facilities and service provided is worth the money you spend. The location itself is great too. Located next to CityOne Megamall and near to the 10...

Hilton is probably the best hotel in Kuching. centrally located with rooms that have exceptional views of the river! Staff are helpful and kind at EVERY level. Breakfast is good quality and varied. Spa provides great packages in a relaxing environment. You can book the most amazing trips at the travel agent based in the lobby - trips you will remember forever! Orangut...

I stayed at Abel for three nights. I arrived on a last flight and it was almost 12 am when I checked in. The staff at the reception were super friendly, especially Sylvester and Lawrence. I missed my luggage at the airport and they helped to get the contact numbers and my luggage arrived at the hotel the next day. For me, it was a great help and amazing service. The st...

We've stayed Jinhold before (and for many times), and still this apartment hotel is one of the finest I've stayed. We booked a Studio but instead we got an upgrade to Apartment-type room, which is a bogus, the staff was really nice to upgrade us the room for free. The room is 'kinda' clean; 'kinda' because we spot a dead cockroach beside the refrigerator..not much of a...

We stayed at Damai Puri for 4 days and 3 nights. Upon the arrival at the hotel, my husband and I were captivated by surrounding scenaries, the sea and mountains. What a perfect and beautiful place for our retreat! My son also enjoyed himself at the children's pool and we had alot of fun playing together. The location was excellent. It was within walking distance to ...

We had a pleasant, 6-day stay in Kuching. The hotel, or 'apart-hotel' as they call it, lies half-way between Kuching International Airport and Kuching city centre. We stayed in a clean and quiet 1-bedroom on the 6th floor. The fully equipped kitchen is very useful given the limited dining at the hotel, although across the road is a major shopping mall, The Spring, acce...

Traveling to Kuching over last 5 years, stayed in various hotels. 1st time tryout this hotel. Wonderful experience, will return for next trip. Pros - Big spacious, clean room & toilet, very clean i.e. no musty, stale smell, thick mattress with firm beds, comfortable, my husband said is one best bed ever slept in hotels. Value for money-Free breakfast for 3, family roo...

The staffs are friendly from the moment you walk in until you check out. The GM friendly and very responsible as well. She asked how was my stay and my experience staying at the hotel. Some of the 4-5 stars hotel in Kuching does not greet or very friendly, concerned like the same way compare to this hotel. The room very clean. The parking quite hard if you stay at this...

The staffs are friendly, they can really tailor your booking according to your demands hence meet your needs. The parking lots are always available. This is the first hotel that i look for on Agoda as i travel frequently to Kuching. Value for money with its room.

We thought Permai Rainforest Resort was amazing! Such a beautiful location with both rainforest and ocean. We stayed in the treehouse and had a beautiful view of the ocean and the rainforest. Treehouse was beautiful, bathroom and towels/sheets could do with an upgrade but didn't bother us too much. Breakfast and dinner included was great! Even though we ended up orderi...

Booked a room to stay with my family. Check in process was smooth and the room size is just decent for 5 of us. Room was well-maintained and clean. We had a comfortable stay in the hotel. Value for money and it's a good option to stay if you are keen to explore the Kuching district area. Staff was all polite and friendly. Well done! Keep up the good work.

A beautiful building with tasteful rooms. I booked a Mezannine Room for my son and I due to wanting a room with more natural light. However, I think that the best rooms are those with balconies facing the pool. The mattress was firm and comfortable, the bathroom was clean with a decent shower. A fridge would have come in handy but no big issue. Breakfast is toast, cere...

This Christamas, we decided to drive from Kota Kinabalu, Sabah into Kuching, Sarawak. Besaga Resident Hotel was again mentioned I decided to take the chance of booking our 5 full nights for our visit to Kuching instead of Borneo Coffee Homestay. I live for nostalgia value, and was pleased to learnt the story of the resident origin and the hotel name origins "Besaga"!! ...

Well, obviously for the price paid and the service provided (the hotel provides pick up and drop off at airport for a minimal fee), this is the best value hotel in Kuching. Bed is rather comfortable, good shower, the hotel itself is very presentable. I had stayed at numerous hotels of different classes around the world, so for the price and the services you get, I woul...

This hotel is low density and has the most incredible setting with views of the mountain, mangroves, beaches and Bako national park. Spacious, luxurious rooms with balcony. Loads of space for 4 people in our room with a huge bathroom (corner suite) The kids loved playing in both swimming pools. They provided inflatables for the kids and have a large array of board and...

The hotel interior is very nice, modern and during our stay, theres not much guests cause weekdays so its so peaceful. I've requested room with bathtub, and the room was perfect. Everything is complete in the room with hi-speed wifi, room with Sarawak's river view, iron together with iron board, hairdryer and smart TV. My husband and I were so happy staying here for 4 ...

This place is a bit pricey compared to other hotels in kuching but there is good reason for that. The design of the hotel and the rooms is beautiful. A great mix of Sarawakian and modern decoration. Located right on the waterfront and about a 2 minute walk from the new Plaza Merdeka mall and just around the corner from old carpenter street. Lots of good food, shopp...
Cheap places to stay in Kuching

Backpacker Stay is a very convenient place to stay. It scores a full mark on it's cleanliness. Very friendly staffs. Have security cameras all around for safety. Breakfast is provided. Very near to Kuching Waterfront, shopping malls, and other tourist attractions. Shower room is very clean and comfortable. The only negative thing is the toilet where tap water is not av...

I booked a basic room, its not mention in agoda it's only equip with fan. I though the cheapest room also come with air conditioning. I'm wrong. trusted with the same hotel i'll stay before the woodpecker lodge should mention about it only a room with fan. I'll ask to change room and paid another RM15 per night for air-conditioning room. Should know and notice this ear...

Fast WiFi, beer fridge, nice people... Good base to discover the surrounding national parks. Best way to get there is sharing an Uber/Grab with other guests. We always chose Pullman Hotel across the street as pick up an drop off. Inside Kuching everything is within easy walking distance. There is a laundry place nearby, it's 8 Ringgit for a warm wash an 5 Ringgit for ...

kenyalang is a best homestay and guesthouse type at Kuching. it really have a lot of great service and staying at kenyalang. washing machine, flexible choose to stay type and bed. warm welcome from staff. high speed internet, air-conditioning everywhere and cooling in great, TV as well. breakfast included, nice sofa for relax. big car park. really fit to all kind of tr...

A big no no for smokers. The owner will search for whoever is smoking in the building. Living space is sufficient and comfortable for hangouts. The place is quiet and well ventilated. Just obey the rules and you'll be fine. Places of interest are basically a walk away. Recommended for first time Kuching visitors!

Room - It was better than i expected, but would be better if they provided the plug next to every bed so we can charge while using it. Facilities - I got what i needed :) Breakfast - Basic breakfast like bread & butter, tea, coffee.. who doesnt like free breakfast? ;D Bar - amazingly cheap! Plus i got 1 free shot of tuak from Shida, the owner , and i love it! Commo...

For over 4 weeks this has been the hostel I returned to after making trips. It has a relaxed atmosphere and the staff are very nice and helpfull. The dorm is very spacious, can definitely recommend them: you get excellent value for your money! The entire place is clean and the laundry service is just excellent as well: washed & dried clothes within 4 hrs for the standa...

It was a very friendly place. The inmates of the hotel were cool. The most important thing is that the hotel is close to the venue of the conference for which I visited Kuching. I smelt a slight problem with one of the English speaking staff in the hotel who sounded a bit cheeky in one of my encounters with him. However, it was overall nice staying at B & B's Inn.

Booked a bed in a 10-bed dormitory, but upon checking in, was informed by the staff that there's some issue with the booking with Agoda. In the end, they couldn't give me a bed in the 10-bed dormitory and instead, they prepared a last minute single private room for me at the attic. I was worried at first, but then I realize that the 10-bed dormitory was all filled with...

It was absolutely great. staff was everything from airport pickup driver to receptionist/cashier to concierge to tour guide. Naturally, being a local, she was knowledgeable about Kuching which was great for people who visited Kuching for the first time, such as Yours Truly. For the price, I would rank my stay at The Nook highly on roundabout all criteria. It would...

Check In Lodge has been one of the best hostel experiences I’ve had in Southeast Asia. What really made them stand out is their staff. Anna was always so helpful in giving our group advice and tips on things to do and Nida was always available via WhatsApp if we were not in the hostel and had a quick question. The free breakfast is basic but filling and the accommodati...

we stayed 2 nights at marco polo's guesthouse and were very happy with our time here. although the furnishings in the rooms are a bit sparse and humble, considering the price you get a lot for your money. the beds are comfortable and the wifi worked well throughout the building. everything was very clean, and we witnessed the staff keeping the bathrooms spotless each d...

The room and bathroom is very clean.Free breakfast, Wi-Fi, coffee. Initially i have decided to stay for only for 2 days (single room with shared bathroom)as i wanted to move to another hostel; wanted to experience different hostel environment as i will be in Kuching for one week. I felt too comfortable .....i have extended my stay stay for another 4 days. This time rou...

actually this hotel no more cause already moving call batu bata. but quite Recommended this place to stay because easy to access to anywhere cause is in the center of kuching town. downstairs got 7-11 and near by got a lot nice food. and near by got shopping mall and water front. just few minute can reach.

The hotel is pretty good because near the middle of kuching city. But what I do not like here is that in terms of hotel cleanliness is not very satisfying because mattress sheets are never washed or washed. My body is itching and I can not sleep with it.

Counter staff very helpful. Checked in and paid RM50 deposit with receipt given(must show to get back RM50 when checkout). Very fast check in. Helpful staff. Room cleaned as described. Aircond, TV, water heater all work well. Room 209 no window yah (best for haze season) Very cosy chair and rather big table provided for 1 person stay. Towel, shampoo, soap, toilet paper, ...

Cheap; great location near Chinatown; super comfy beds and pillow in pod style bed meaning good level of privacy. The owner was such a great guy - super relaxed, happy to offer help and even gave us a free lift to the bus station! Wifi good enough for simple surfing which is fine given there's plenty to see and do in Kuching and around. Highly recommend this hostel

This was a very good experience. The rooms were clean and the staff very friendly. Our room had 2 beds and a loft as well. In fact, our room also had a fireman's pole which I thought was a nice novelty. The hotel is geared towards tourist and this is reflected with how the hotel did is decor. All the currrent happenings in Kuching are on the notice boards and the frie...

Stayed here for 2 nights. Hostel located right at the heart of Kuching Waterfront. Short walk away from the nearest shopping complex and a boat away from a cheap Kek Batik and Terubuk Masin place. As this is a hostel, do not compare this with a hotel, but i provides more than a hostel can give

My stay was a good and safe at the hotel. I felt at home with friendly staffs, easy access to any eatery and shopping mall. Toilet was ok, the room was good. If I may purpose the hotel to offer more tv channel such as HBO or Star tv for relaxing after being out day and comes back at night and hope the hotel could offer plastic spoon and few packet of 3 in 1 drink for t...

This is my first stay in kuching homestay, the room is comfortable, however it would be better if the bathroom facilities is attended and improved. Friendly staff and interesting handcraft lesson are special. Shopping complex 'the spring' is just 10minutes walking distance, very convenient and variety of food available.

We stayed for couple times here and with the cheapest price that we can get. We tried several OYO hotels around Kuching and we think this is the best choices that we preferred to stay later, more and more. With little price, only the TV was not functioning during our stay. It was always late night when me and my husband came, so we don't think it is a necessary to sort...

We were looking for a budget hotel to stay for overnight as our flight was late night, but didn't want to compromise so much of the price over comfort. Luckily we found this place with one room left available for the date were traveling. I was really excited seeing the interior online. When we arrived we were not dissapointed! It's a really comfortable homey place tho ...

I enjoyed my stay in Kuching so much I ended up staying 16 days at Hero Hostel. There are only a few private rooms, plus a dorm that you must rent out entirely (so that may be good for groups). The rate for the private room ($10 USD when I booked) is on par with the rate for private rooms in other hostels, but seems like a much better value, considering the quality of ...

The building is quite old but we didn’t bother,on the first night we had a old spring mattress that was stabbing my back but I’ve ask the receptionist to change it and they did it in less then 5 min . The staff is lovely and the location is perfect ( just 3 min walk from the Kuching waterfront ). Bathroom and shower ensuite and the air con works perfectly . Very chea...

Agoda price was cheaper than walk in rate which is RM15 higher. Highly recommended the customer to book online through agoda instead of booking through telephone or walk in. Location is near Satok and a restaurant named Kopi O Corner which is famous for its laksa sarawak, mee kolok, nasi lelapan and roti canai. Located beside the hotel there is a restaurant which offer...

The staff is very friendly and kind. They always tried to make our stay there the best moment in Kuching. One of them drop off to the semmengoh park free and every day they give us good advices about the town, what we can do, and how is the best way to arrive to any place. We are really grateful with them.

The receptionist was lovely. I was there at a quiet time and found it good. The walls are not very thick. The decor is good, but the bathrooms could do with some attention, although they are still functional. The discount on Agoda made for a bargain stay.

my 2nd stay here. fall in love when last stayed here last year. still the best hotel in kuching. room was spacious, staff was attentive , design was superb. however there are problem with air conditioning, there are water dripping in from the unit and it take too long for the temperature to cold down. i just realized it at night and as i am staying just for one night ...

For a solo traveler like me, location is absolutely convenient as it's within the same building as Vivacity Megamall. Apartment is spacious and very clean, complete with all kitchen appliances, suitable for families. I was able to reach owner easily through his WhatsApp account & get immediate response. He was very accommodating to my requests.

The booking and check in process was hassle free. The unit is very clean and comfortable, but there was a slight unpleasant odour when you first came in... might be the sewage. it would be nice if they provide air freshener to mask the unpleasant smell... but after a while, you'll won't notice it any more. It would be good if there are floor mats provided inside the...

The house was spacious, simple yet beautifully decorated, and actually looked better in real life than on photos. Overall, we had a great stay at the house. However, unlike other places, bedroom keys are not provided. We accidentally locked the bedroom door and had to spend half a day with the owner trying to find the correct key. Also, the AC in the living room isn...

Comfortable house that provide a lot of amenities, spacious room suitable for a large group of family. Not more than 10 people. Would recommend for those who are looking for a place to stay for convocation week or a trip to Jong's crocodile or Semenggoh Orang utan.

Location is great, nearby to many food court and massage centre if you are into it. Facilities such as swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna room is available. Shopping is convenient too since it is located right above the mall. Very accommodating owner too. Overall we had a great time staying there. Will book again if we ever stop by Kuching next time.

Friendly people. Kolo Mee, laksa, kueh chap, tomato mee/kueh tiaw are typical local foods, must try. To visit 青山岩's temple & having lunch at seafood restaurant is a good choice too.
