"The Twin Lotus is a new, modern hotel in reduced but always pleasant design at Klong Dao Beach in Koh Lanta. We paid half of the regular price for a Deluxe Garden Villa and the room was well worth the money but I would not pay the double though. The bungalow style villas are spacious and tidy, the room service is discrete and effective, the staff is very friendly and always keen to help. Late check out wasn't a problem at all, although we only left at 3 pm. Downsides are that the level of English of the personnel is quite basic though and the service is not as attentive as I would expect for a five star hotel. The breakfast buffet was rich but with hardly any variety. Filling up bath room utensils like sanitary bags or complimentary tooth paste etc. did not happen, neither the laundry bags. On its webpage the hotel advertises a child free environment ('Please note: Twin Lotus Koh Lanta welcomes guests aged 18 years and over.') but there were lots of families with small children anyhow. As the hotel was not fully booked in late March/early April it did not bother us too much, but if you come in the main season and expect a calm environment you may be disappointed. The hotel bar closed far too early (around 9:30-10 pm), sometimes even before the restaurant, which is a pity if one would like to spend the evening chillaxing with a drink. The Beach Deluxe Villas may be more comfortable due to the fresh wind from the seaside. All in all, I would recommend the hotel, it is definitely one of the most luxurious ones on that beach, especially for the price we paid. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable time! "

"I have been treated extremely well at my short holiday break at Sri Lanta Resort at Koh Lanta Yai in Thailand. I travel a lot due to my work and have through 25 years tried many kind of service levels. At this smashing perfect located Resort with an amazing bounty seaview the entire staff is second to none - definitely some of the most genuine service minded people I have had the pleasure of both meeting, talk with and being served by. Their enjoyment of serving is obvious for anyone that ask for real service and a high skilled service level. If the bars above had 7 stars opportunities - the staff should have had 7 stars. No doubt. They all communicate well in English and follows up continuously to ensure I were feeling good and they really enjoyed what they are doing. I simply have to come back to this small piece of heaven. My best and honest recommendations to this Sri Lanta Resort at Koh Lanta Yai and it staff - an impeccable experience. Thank you. L. Nielsen"

"We really enjoyed our stay in the Rawi Koh Lanta. Koh Lanta itself was our favourite place we visited when we travelled to Phuket. We stayed at the Rawi over the xmas period which meant we paid a lot for a room, Way more than the rest of the year - so in terms of value for money our score would be higher if we travelled at another time. The hotel has immaculate grounds and great facilities including the pool and the beach front setting. The staff were lovely and it was our favourite breakfast on our break. Our only complaint was the food at the poolside was pretty poor - although it wasn't too expensive. I think this was one of the best places to stay on the island, right in the centre a short taxi ride from the action - I would recommend and would consider if I returned (which I hope to) to Koh Lanta. Perfect for families"

"Long Beach Chalet is the place to stay if you're in Koh Lanta. Not only is it very reasonably priced, the bungalow is spacious, comfortable and clean with good AC and strong wifi. There is a balcony in each bungalow and there is also some resting space at the bottom of each one with a hammock. The owners speak fluent english and go out of their way to help you. They organised transfers for us, we orginally booked a bungalow for three people in advanced but a few weeks before we flew out to Koh Lanta, we had an extra visitor and they went out of their way to organise extra beds in the bungalow as by then the place was fully booked. They made everything very easy for us, booked our day trips and organised hired vehicles for us. Breakfast was very good, a generous selection was available at their restaurant, The Three Mums, with friendly service. One of the mums came to speak to us in the mornings when we were having breakfast and made us some coconut pancakes on the side, they were nice! There is a small but clean pool in the centre of the bungalows with sun chairs. And a few miniutes walk and you see a nice stretch of beach with white fine sands, beach bars and massages! Going into the main strip of koh lanta where all the main shops were was also very easy. Public taxis are very affordable and are available and is a short 5-10 minute ride away. We were very happy with our stay and would highly recommend this place to people. I loved Koh Lanta a lot, I will definitely come back to the Long Beach Chalet the next time I visit Koh Lanta. Many thanks"

"- Staff were friendly and helpful. - Rooms and toilet were clean. - A small lamp(reading light) beside the bed. - Hammocks under the trees are excellent place to relax. - A small area with bean bags to chill! - During happy hours(at night) u can get beers for very cheap price. A good time to hang out with others. - 2 min walk to the Long Beach. If bored games are available would be great. Yet, its still a grrat place to make friends and have a chill time. Will definitely stay here again if I'm in Koh Lanta. 100% worth the money."

"Pros: We absolutely loved our stay in Asura. The staff are super friendly(little english but understand you). The pool is unreal, shower is powerful. Is an okay location bur in fairness no where seems to be a great location in Koh Lanta so you need yo explore! It was ok to drink beer by the pool. Great restaurant next door, cheap, we booked our transfer with them too. Cons: The other reviews were right, the bed is rock hard but didn't stop us sleeping! The bed is facing away from the tv so was a bit of a pain when it came to the eve when we wanted to watch Netflix. The clothing storage area is teeeny and couldn't unpack for the entire stay because they was no place to put our clothes. We came in low season so we got a sunbed easily but there are 8 sunbeds compared to 31 rooms so in high season i'd say you'd be fighting for a sunbed! Unfortunately the last day 3 families arrived and they put them all right next door to us and they were super loud so it took away the relaxed vibe. "

"after being on the go moving from place to place in thailand, my husband and i decided we wanted to take some time out to relax and get away from some of the busy areas. an austrailian man recommend koh lanta to us, we hadn't planned on coming here but after we visited a travel agent in patong she also recommend koh lanta. we got a ferry from phuket to koh lanta, it was about 4 hrs, lanta miami had truck there to pick us up,when we arrived. the resort was nice and quiet, we didn't really leave the resort to explore other areas, we were fine with waking up having breakfast, laying at the pool and having our meals at the resort on the beach. p dang bar kept us happy with the laid back atmosphere and good drinks. majestic bar down the beach is a nice spot to stop in for drinks and food too. this was just what we needed to enjoy some r and r and no one was on the beach trying to sell anything. we will come back here next time in thailand."

"Coco Lanta is definitely a place to go while you're in Koh Lanta. Well honestly, there's not much to do here in Koh Lanta (compared to Aonang). If you wanted to find a peaceful surrounding while try to live as a local, then you will love this place! I highly recommended a stall outside CocoLanta (opposite the main road, beside a tattoo shop), Lay Sod. This stall is the main thing I miss about Koh Lanta! The food is SUPERB! The chef speaks poor english but still understandable. Every morning, I went outside and chill at the hammock, it feels like the best moment ever. You have to try! "

"It is a beautifully decorated hotel, very Thai, very warming interior. If you are up for a chillout stay in Koh Lanta, don't miss Baan Laanta. The restaurant and bar are next to Ba Kan Tieng beach. I went to Koh Lanta in May, a low season. The beach was almost empty. I enjoyed taking photos and strolling along the beach. At the other end of the beach is a five star hotel. There was a wedding on my last day of staying. They played fireworks shows at night. It was brilliant. There are also nice bars, including the famous Why Not bar, on the beach. The only shortcoming is there is no wifi in the room. You will have to come to the lobby for using internet."
