Chonburi hotels & places to stay

Nice room, facilities, breakfast, and staff. Location is a bit far from Chonburi town and Pattaya town, car needed but shuttle service to Chonburi town every half and hour which is very convenience for no car traveller. Most of staff are good service excepted one house keeping which very rude when I asked for additional shampoo and body soap, she loudly asked another maid “when they check out?” It is not a good manner for not trust your customer, very disappointed and shame on her.

Never think you can't get a cheap room when you try to book a room directly with the hotel. I tried three times and was told that they only had a standard room available, which was about twice as the one I could book online. I guess the staff were told to do so. This is so true for this hotel. I have had many lucks with other hotels in Thailand when I booked with them directly. They were happy to honor whatever the lowest price I could find.

I really enjoyed my first visit to Thailand and the hotel had was an important element of my overall experience. On arrival - check in was seamless and I stayed on the 17th floor which was brilliant for the views, there are 4 lifts there so you don't wait long at all for a lift, it's literally seconds. Overall 37 or so floors so the speed of lifts is quite impressive. The hotel is new and kept squeeky clean, I am generally fussy with regards to cleanliness and I was absolutely satisfied! The staff generally struggle with English but I was fortunate to have 2 of the staff there who were quite proficient. The staff were friendly and very respectful. The amenities were quite modern with a heated electric toilet seat which was quite nice. I ate dinner in the coffee restaurant ajoining the hotel which was absolutely brilliant, the food is not expensive at all and actually cheaper than eating out and freshly made, brilliant! The breakfast was in the hotel and absolutely brilliant too.

We had issue with mosquitoes for the first room they gave us on the first floor for a premier room. We asked to be moved to the third floor which was not bad for the view and no more mosquitoes. The problem with all the rooms were the toilets were stink. It could be the plumbing issues of the city. And there were no elevator so if you stay for a week you may not be able to carry your own suitcases up there. And the wifi did not work in the guestrooms. The hotel is located across from the beach so it is really convenient for both the beach and to catch the 20 bahts two rows buses to go to Central Chonburi or Lamthong Mall or Non Mon Market.

Actually we are plan to stay near beach but all occupied due to long holiday in Thailand. and Oakwood is the best solution in this area as I used to stay while travel for business trip in other country, and that gurantee hotel quality No need to depended on luck for staff and hotel facilities.. Place close to both Zoo in Chonburi..Swimming pool was fabulous view.. we are facing rain during this trip but we can stay at hotel with no boring.. Location was walking distance to both Market and Shopping mall.. Will revisit again for sure..

We booked this room to take our thai in laws on a short break to the seaside resort, and if anyone knows, if you are asked to book 4 double rooms for 8 people, dont be surprised when 11 people in total turn up..!!. The staff were great.. sorted another room for us at a discounted rate, and put extra beds in other rooms at no charge, only paid for the extra breakfasts. Lovely newish clean hotel, with a great pool, on the first floor looking out over the ocean. Only downside, was that there was no real restaurant/bar facilities.. breakfast was only offered as an American breakfast, other than that no complaints.. mind you it is a fair old walk to the nicer part of the beach area, where all the restuarants etc are..

Stayed to play golf in Chonburi. Pattana golf excellent including driving range available all day. Hotel near to several good courses. One down side was that the booking with Agoda was for the 'Mansion House' (which is the other side of the golf course not near the other buildings) and not the main hotel complex (this was not made clear when I made the booking. I upgraded to the main hotel complex but it did cost me money!

I chose this hotel based on the excellent reviews on this website, and I had a wonderful stay at this uniquely designed hotel. Hotel facilities : The 9-10 months old hotel is uniquely designed in modern contemporary style, with a excellent mix of the modern twist and traditional local flashbacks. The hotel do provide casual bicycles to explore the rustic attractions around the hotel. Its expecting to install a new lift within the hotel in about a month's time. They are currently expanding their dining seating capacity next door to cater for the weekend crowds from Bangkok. Room : The room was surprisingly large and was tastefully designed in modern contemporary style as well. Standard amenities were provided and the contents provided in the mini-bar were free. Check out the photos posted by them and the rooms are as advertised. Rooftop dining : The small restaurant was nice with a good selection of food and drinks. The seaview was good. Unfortunately, I stayed during the period where the tropical storm was nearby, so did not get the enjoy the "outside" as much as i wanted to. Breakfast spread was not bad. Surroundings : An old seafood market nearby, Monkeys hill, Chinese temple, rows of seafood restaurant, I recommend Tha Rua Seafood restaurant, simply Good, Fresh and Cheap. Staffs : All the staffs working in the hotel were very friendly, have good command of English, took their initiative in conversation engagement, provided guidance about the surroundings and were attentive to details and concerns and were genuine in their customer services. Notably, "Note", who is the supervisor in that hotel is an experienced and friendly chap. He was more than willing to engage in a good conversation and share about the local attractions. Keep it up, guys. Getting there from bangkok (my way): Ekamai bus station, take a bus to Chonburi, tell driver you want to stop at The central plaza Chonburi, transfer to hotel either by Blue songthaew or taxi.

Initially chose this hotel due to drive time from bangkok, and reviews, and we were not disappointed. Reception on arrival was warm, and allowed us to access room early which was very convenient. The staff seemed very pleasant, and this continued during the weekend in all parts of the hotel. Staff english was good, which helped this lazy farang. The beach was clean and tidy, and easily accessible, possible availability of more sun loungers would be a benefit. The food was excellent, lunch, evening meal and breakfast all high standard and tasty, again staff were great. The rooms were excellent in all aspects, and wifi was fast. We will return to this hotel.

I came to Panitar House just for a few days over Songkran celebrations as a solo traveler. Was a nice room, clean and with modern, basic facilities. The hotel is small and in a perfect location right by the beach and main attractions in Bang Saen - infinity pool and pool bar at the top are great, with views over the ocean, beach and beach road. The building towers over anything in close vicinity. Staff is nice and helpful and seemingly always cheerful, although they don't speak very good English they tried to help me with anything from basic questions to renting a motorbike, which they can also arrange. Breakfast is a simple but nice buffet, it was something like 200 baht per person whether you book in advance or pay in the morning, that's not too bad for a western breakfast buffet even if it is simple. (eggs, sausages, ham, porridge, toast, coffee, etc). Overall, I enjoyed my stay and will come again if I stay in the area.

Firstly the hotel is a little out of the way overlooking a small beach (which houses a decent restaurant) and a pub next door. Otherwise you will need transport - the hotel is midway between Chonburi and Pattaya and was handy for us as we were visiting relatives. Dont be fooled by the hotels website directions which say it is South of Si Racha because it is North! The reception staff were excellent and friendly and the room (we stayed in a duplex) spacious. It had a living, kitchen area and shower/toilet at Ground Floor level and 2 double bedrooms and a further shower/toilet on the first floor. Both floors had balconies and at Ground Floor, this lead directly out to the pool. Breakfast was uninspiring but adequate but all in all a good quality residence

It was hard to find the hotel using google map and the entrance is very narrow and hotel exterior looked really old. This place is like a service apartment though. Located near Sammook view point with little private beach where we can do some fishing, so we enjoyed it. Considered no service in the hotel like restaurant or where you can get food nearby but there are some nice restaurants for 2 mins drive. No public transport in the area so best to drive. Room is big and comfortable, at the beginning water was yellow so we leave water tab on till the water cleared and looked clean. Good value for money, we had good time there.

My husband and I were in Thailand for the Asia Indoor Hockey Cup. We booked the Patt Serviced Apartments before we knew where in Chonburi the tournament was to be held. We were delighted with the accommodation. It was easy to catch a motorbike taxi ride each day to the tournament venue. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The staff were very obliging and friendly. Their translation app was very helpful for translating English to Thai on the odd occasion. Free internet was handy. The bed was king-size and firm, which made for a great night's sleep. An all you can eat breakfast each morning kept us going till almost tea time. The apartments also had a gym and a pool. I would thoroughly recommend this accommodation.

Somewhere Si Chang is a really cute and little boutique Hotel on the Island. Maybe the best place there! Hotel is brand new, everything very clean and tidy. The rooms are very nice decorated in maritime style and you ll have as far as I can judge in all rooms sea hew! The Staff is very polite, nice, friendly and helpful. They insisted to serve breakfast even the breakfast time had already been over when we got up. The pool and the pool-are very nice too. Maybe a little small if more than 4 guests are at that place. But we had it almost for ourselves on a weekday! They got a little nice garden in the backyard of the pool too. Cocktails we ordered to the pool. Staff acted a bit like we were the first persons who ordered cocktail ever (haha it has just opened the place), it took a while until we got them but they tasted phantastic too without any artificial flavors beside maybe the syrup you need for example a tequila sunrise. I am pretty sure we would come back if the island had a bit more to offer (like a nice beach). The biggest beach there is for locals only and ver very Thai. Sand is dirty too and smelly because of the street food kitchen restaurants there I dare! Another beach (hidden beach) of which we had a secret tip before was very dirty too and almost all of its sand has been robbed by some sand-robbing-container ship as locals told us. :( very sad.

Geared towards japanese business people. On site is a very good japanese restaurant, Shiki. You must try if staying here. Was on way to rayong for koh samet on a moped, decided to stop here instead. Ended staying for two nights, never made it to ko samet. No regrets. Got to enjoy the fitness centre, pool, and Sento (銭湯). On second night, got hotel staff to connect a dvd player for movies in room. The flatscreen needs an upgrade though. Not even HD-ready. No power sockets near the bed. had to use the socket for the tv. Hotel is within walking distance of mall. nothing special there. the usual thailand mall. More interesting are the thai massage shops. Tried a different place each night. Highly recommend Rasuda, which is across sukhumvit road from the hotel. turn left into a small alley. they can do a mean thai massage. Another is Leelawadee, which seems to be found in a few places in sriracha. Not sure if they are branches or copies.

Room, location, facilities were quite well arranged. Breakfast was congee soup with big shrimp which tasted quite alright but seasoning wasn’t given along with the food. Swimming pool - didn’t get a chance to visit but as I could see there were too many kids playing around pretty long and we decided not to go. Our building is located inside and there was a back door which was locked after 8PM and no one informed us. If you stay at the last (back) building and you plan to come back late at night, you should be aware that the back door is closed after 8PM and you have to walk to the other side (front side) of the hotel which takes you a while. Honestly, my friends and I couldn’t find a cab back to the hotel then we decided to walk back to the hotel as it was close to where we were. But when we arrived at the back door, it was closed and no one was there and we didn’t notice the other phone number on the sign board so we had to walk to the front side. The security guard was also sleeping even when we walked pass him, he didn’t notice at all. When we arrived, I went to talk with the staff but the apology was insincere anyway. The hotel should inform all its guests about everything in the hotel especially when you lock the door and guests cannot get in! Read reviews and selected this place. But next time I won’t believe the reviews again. We all were disappointed and regretting having paid like 3k+ per night but good experience was not passed on at all.

The room was ok but the bathroom was terribly dirty alot of grime on tiles and the shower heater box nearly fell off the wall. The airconditioning was cool but we needed to put a bucket underneath it to stop the drips of water making the tiled floor slippery, the tv was ok but the pillows and bed are firm and not comfortable I believe the hotel needs and bit of TLC and about 10, 000 000 baht on upgrades to bathrooms and facilities. The pool and surrounds of gardens ok but smells in the foyer and ground floor hallways from unknown source also the second floor balconney overlooking pool and foyer is quite low and dangerous with gaps in it concerned and worrying if you have young children the best thing about the hotel was the beach view and location right next to 7 eleven and coffee shop and MacDonald"s I would not stay here again if visiting this location😡😠😡😠 Staff were kind especially the parking guy always had a smile and all around good bloke

We stayed here on a weekend away from Bangkok. We drove by car which tool 90 minutes. One note is that the hotel was wrongly placed on google maps. My wife is a thai speaker and the hotel gave us good directions over the phone but we would have struggled otherwise. Best things were the rooms and the sea view - we had a one bedroom suite which is large,s pacey with large floor to ceiling windows. wonderful to wake up, pull back the curtains and have panoramic views of the sea. Big bathrooms also very nice. Some signs of wear and tear especially around the aircon outlets but nothing so much to dampen our enjoyment. Nice small pool which was great for the kids and pre-breakfast swim Other nice surprise was the food. a 199baht bbq buffet in the evening was quite delightful and beyond expectations. Reasonable range of wines. Breakfast buffet also beyond expectations so all three of us were very well fed. Staff also excellent. friendly and helpful. We don't often go to chonburi but now we have found this hotel we will go back more often. Thanks to all the staff for such a good stay.

Overall we had a very good stay at Le Casa Bang Saen. The pool is beautiful, complete with jacuzzi and there are some (half a dozen) chaise lounges. We were the only foreign ladies staying there that I saw, so there was not much competition to get to the chaise lounges. The pool was all one depth, so not exactly ideal for kids who cannot swim well, but with the proper floaty they will do well. Adults can stand in the pool, and really it is a glorious pool. The breakfast was, as already mentioned by other reviewers, average for a Westerner. However, it was a great spread for the Thais and they really seemed to enjoy it. There were eggs, ham, sausage (hot dogs), white or whole wheat Farmhouse bread for toasting with jam and a variety of Thai choices including rice. I've eaten much worse "Western Breakfasts" in Thailand so do not let the other breakfast reviews deter you from staying here. The other Western menu items we had were rather above par for a hotel in a very Thai area. Despite what others have said in their reviews, this hotel is walking distance from the beach. It does not take more than 20 minutes, which is average for folks who frequent the jersey shore or people who take public transport throughout Bangkok. If you enjoy walking (or need the exercise) and don't mind the heat, it's totally doable. I would suggest walking over driving as parking at the beach is crowded, especially in the late afternoon early evenings and weekends when the locals frequent the beach more regularly. Along the walk to the beach from the hotel you will find lots of little shops, restaurants, massage places, etc. The room was clean and surprisingly spacious (walk in closet and counter with sink outside of the bathroom) and the staff were rather helpful and friendly. I would stay at this hotel again. There were no loud parties/karaoke nearby and we could not hear the construction of the nearby new apartments/buildings being put up so it was quite for us.

I have stayed at 3 different hotel Sriracha but this the best. From outside looked like really high class hotel and inside was not a disappointment . Not centrally located but only 3 minute drive from center so no problem for me anyways. Half price of places I stayed before and far superior so I will always return here. Whole building is new so not like some hotel where have good room in one wing and rubbish room somewhere else.

stayed here during the long weekend. it was very hard to book a last minute room. The hotel was quite far to get to, that was the only problem I had with it. The room itself was quite big, it was very clean and you could tell that their housekeeping staff put their heart into cleaning the room, the hair dryer cable was neatly curled and packed. The air conditioning was nice and cold even for a big room. the toilet and amenities was spot on with everything I needed, the bath towels should be replaced because they are somewhat crispy. the bed was comfortable, but I would of liked extra pillows. I was very happy with this hotel, and if I do visit the area again, I will definately be staying here. this hotel is highly recommended.
