First, I enjoy the services offered. The environment so nice if you literally needed to get away from hectic city life. It offers many choices of activities based on stated at website hotels and promotion. But, in my staycation my whole goals just to simply enjoy the moment while celebrating my sister’s birthday. Will come back to explore more. As for the cleanliness I think can improve a bit. It’s not dirty but not too clean and if being neglected might be worsen in the future. Breakfast quite variety and for taste just as per other hotel standard. Ouh, I also got dinner at Sepoi2 the taste of food totally different with buffet breakfast just need to ready your wallet. Fire show surely incredible and I enjoy all the buggies time with beautiful great sceneries the resort offered.

I have been to this resort many times. And have always liked it. But this time, there were some new developments which i didnt like. 1. The day before we left to the hotel, i received an e mail saying my fully paid reservation was cancelled, and that was a shock. And if we would accept a refund etc. But later Agoda sent another e mail that it was an internal matter at the hotel and its been resolved after Agoda negotiated with them. My confidence with Agoda is sky high now, confidence in the hotel very low. 2. Breakfast buffet very sadly lacking in quality or quantity. Food was not replenished. I had to argue with the egg lady to fry the egg fresh etc, she kept telling me to take the cold fried earlier eggs. The food was not of the same quality that i have enjoyed over the years. Rooms are nice, service by staff always very polite. Beds very comfortable, bathrooms are spacious and nice, showers are good. The front staff.... i spoke to two duty managers about how my reservation was cancelled at the very last min, and they promised to look into it, but to date, no reply. Not that i want anything from the hotel, but to know why the reservation was so abruptly cancelled. And so others wont have the same last minute headache. Imagine taking your annual leave, planning the trip, and the resort cancels your stay at the last moment. And that to , to a regular customer like me. Kudos to Agoda for settling the issue for me.

Good resort for a getaway”
The hotel is really nice and is a good getaway. The layout is good and the rooms are excellent. During the stay, the hotel is undergoing some renovations (such as removing the thatched roof and updating internal deco) but it's not disruptive at all. In fact, the newly refurbished rooms look great and has all the modern amenities you'd expect. As it's on the Straits of Malacca, the sea views are nothing to shout about and looks somewhat grey most of the time. The tides move about quite a distance here which makes for an interesting views. The outstanding feature is the constant breeze which is very relaxing. The fireshow is really quite a highlight in terms of entertainment and I highly recommend it. Lasting 20 mins, every segment of the show is more thrilling than the previous one. Do note they only have this on weekends or when there is a big tour group, so please enquire at front desk. In terms of flies which is a major complaint, indeed this is a problem. Although not swarming with it, a few can be annoying when having a meal and one or two may snuck into the room. The major grouse is the valet parking which is a scam at RM 25 a night with every entry costing an additional RM 10. I would really recommend to stay at Avani as the view at the balcony really gives me a chill gate away feeling I love their service when I reach the reception and most of their staff is super friendly and their service is really good. I went there for a stay for 3days 2 night surprisingly I didn’t expect they have a fire show on that first night that we checked in which is on Monday. It’s was a beautiful very spacious stay in the resort. I love how comfortable we can just chill the day in the room as we’re also have a toddle staying together. Would come back for a visit again in the future. And they also already prepare a baby cot in the room before we check in, is smtg that I will never forget, as I already requested during my booking in Agoda. ❤️
